NiceHowdy,
We are excited to finally announce that we will be resetting our KitPvP server. The server has had a lifespan of nearly 6 months. Within this reset we've gone ahead and fixed up some issues and added in a handful of new features which are listed further on in this post. As per usual, we will be whitelisting the server on December 6th at 10:00 PM EST to give us time to properly move over all the new content.
The server will be resetting on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 PM EST.
(Click here to view a countdown)
What will I keep?
We've created a list of things that will be kept upon reset:
What will be reset:
- Ranks (purchased and won from crates)
- Perks (purchased and won from crates)
- Chat Tags (purchased and won from crates)
- Inventories (inventory, player vault, enderchest)
- Balance
- Stats
- Reclaims
Updates
As stated in the opening, we've gone ahead and fixed up a bunch of issues that were present, as well as add in some new features, some which have been suggested in the past.
List of minor additions:
- When you die you'll be alerted as to who killed you
- Added combat tag timer to sidebar
- Cooldowns are now colored on the sidebar
- Fixed /eventstats not showing events with spaces in their name (i.e. TNT Tag)
- Last Man Standing event now has an event timer
- Upon leaving a PvP event you will no longer be combat tagged
Trading
We've added in the ability to trade with other players. If you've played our other gamemodes like Skyblock or Survival you'll know exactly how this feature functions. To initiate a trade with another player you simply issue the /trade <username> command. You will not be able to trade with other players whilst you're combat tagged.
Pickup Filter
After many requests of this, we've finally gone ahead and created a system where you can choose what items you can pickup. Upon executing the /pickupfilter command you will presented with a menu. Inside this menu, you'll be able to switch between whitelist and blacklist mode, turn the system on or off, and add or remove items. While it is in the whitelist mode, all the items that are in the list will be allowed to be picked up, while it's in blacklisted mode the items will not be able to be picked up.
![]()
Warp Create Revamp
The whole warp create system has been updated significantly. It has been optimized heavily with the generation of the structure, which would originally cause some minor lag issues on the server. The overall functionality of editing the warp has changed as well.
Warp Create Item
The warp create items appear to be the same, but function somewhat different than they used to. Upon right clicking the item, if you do not have a warp it will generate your warp and it adds the time to your warp time bank. If you already have a warp the time will be put into your warp create time bank. The addition of time will be added to your warp transaction logs.
Control Panel
Behind the spawn point in the wall is a beacon block which is referred to as the control panel. Upon right clicking this block you'll be created with a menu that shows some information about the warp. You can see the status of the warp if it's approved or not and how much editing time is remaining. The items further on in the menu show information like the last editing transactions that were made, and a button which enables warp editing.
Editing
As stated above with the Warp Create Item changes, upon right clicking the item you will no longer start editing immediately. You must open the Control Panel and click on the Start Editing button. Upon doing so, you'll enter editing mode. While in editing mode, you can simply stop editing your warp by opening the control panel and click the stop editing button. The Control Panel also has additional features inside it while you're editing your warp, such as being able to edit the walls of both the spawn room, and the pvp room. You can add multiple blocks to the composition of walls, to simply add items you put them into your inventory prior to opening the menu then simply clicking them when the edit menu is open.
Closing Remarks
We're happy to finally announce this reset and we hope you're all excited about it as we are.
