Welcome to Survival! Here is a helpful guide to get you started on the gamemode :]
A: Most people either grind or build, but you can do anything you’d like so long as it’s acceptable within the server’s rules!
Q: How do I get money?
A: The fastest and probably easiest way to get money is by grinding, whether at a farm of your own or at a public farm. However, there are ways to get small amounts of money. These include but aren’t limited to jobs (more on those later), mining/farming and selling the resources, and chat reactions.
Q: How do I claim my land?
A: Using any golden shovel, you can right click the opposite corners of your land. This will create a claim in which only you can build, attack mobs, and pick up items (more information on these permissions can be found down below). You can also just hold the golden shovel and do /createclaim or /expandclaim. To get a golden shovel, you can either craft one or do /kit default.
Q: How do I get more claim blocks?
A: You get claim blocks automatically as you play, however you can also get claim blocks from voting (/vote) or by purchasing them in the store (/store).
Q: I got scammed! What can I do!?
A: That depends entirely on what you were scammed out of. If you lost real-life currency, collect any evidence you can and submit a player report on the forums. If you lost in-game resources/money, unfortunately there is not anything that the staff members can do for you; scamming players in-game is not punishable.
To help avoid getting scammed in the future, I recommend that you don’t accept tp requests from people you don’t know, always use /trade when doing deals, and never, ever right-click while at someone else’s base unless you are 100% sure you’re not clicking a hidden sign.
Q: I got griefed! What can I do!?
A: If someone has griefed the area around your claim (eg lava casting the borders of your claim, placed inappropriate signs/builds next to your claim, intentionally made small claims around your claim to prevent expansion, etc.) then you can screenshot the grief and create a player report on the forums. Make sure to include the coordinates, and it would be helpful to include a rough timeframe of when the grief took place (but if you don’t know when it happened, that’s okay!).
If someone you gave /trust to has griefed your claim, unfortunately it isn’t punishable as you are responsible for who you give trust to.
Q: I lost my base, how do I get back?
A: If you didn’t /sethome at your base, you will have to walk back. To see the coordinates, type /claimlist.
Q: I have access to /fly but I don’t have infinite flight time within my own claim – how do I fix this?
A: Give yourself /trust, then exit and re-enter your claim. You should now have infinite flight in your claim.
Q: How do I make a chest shop?
A: Place the items you want to sell in a chest. Then place a sign on the chest - leave the top line blank, put the amount you want to sell on the second line, put the buy and/or sell prices on the third line, and put a question mark on the last line. The top line will autofill with your username, and the last line will autofill with the item. Here are some examples:
/sethome - Sets a home at your location.
/home - Lets you teleport back to a sethome.
/sell h - Sells whatever you’re holding.
