Why Scamming should be bannable

Why Scamming should be bannable

Why it should stay allowed:
1) Makes the game more challenging (by avoiding the scam traps)
2) Staff can't take control of all the players

so im here to tell you why scamming should be bannable
if you came here for a list of scammers go to /is warp
ok here is why

scamming has been a very profitable business lately, which is very sad since people grind hours for this money. some people even do IRL deals with in game money, and the staff cant pretend not to know the fact that people use it for IRL deals since they have tried to revive them by using diamond crates (which are rigged btw, dont buy them). in fact, scamming has gone so bad that scammers like Skeppy1414 and _MoneyHeist_ (formerly known as SkeppysSkittles) have done IRL deals with scammed money. so yeah, its a big problem
thanks for coming to my ted talk
if you disagree tell me why and more reasons why scamming should be bannable

I COMPLETELY agree with you for the following reasons:
  • Some scammers have alts and alt abuse causes dangerous-ness in the server
  • IRL Deal scammers scam IRL money and they should actually go to jail IRL for it
  • Scammers who don't have alts flood the chat and can get really annoying, I know you can do /ignore, but still.
  • Some rich people have lost millions of stuff to scammers.
  • Some of the scammers are on /baltop (I'm looking at you two, Shioby and _MoneyHeist_)
  • Insiders can take tons of things that cost IRL money and so can scammers
  • TP KILLERS THAT ARENT ON WALL CAN BE AWFUL
  • I was warp killed by a dude named B1LL_C1PH3R_618. Being target-scammed is just as annoying.
  • Some scammers try to lie to staff members of the Scammer Wall (ESPECIALLY ME)
  • Also, this is the ONLY SERVER that allows scamming.

Here are some tips of how to not get scammed/insided:

  • DONT TRUST RANDOMS WITH A LOW BALANCE
  • Do not fall for banner scams
  • Do not right click when you see a lava wall
  • If a scammer tries to scam you, /ignore them and report them for chat flooding or something.
  • There can be various scams, make sure to only trade people who have a trustable island
  • Go to /is warp to view a scammer wall and a scam examples shop

    Have a good day!

In IRL deals, make the one paying girl money go first. If they don't, don't do the deal. Also, don't be stupid. If someone gives a deal to good to be true, it isn't true. For ingame to ingame stuff, use trading

as someone who just got duped I say it adds challenge to the game. it adds that suspense. so ya
What do you mean, "Give the game a challenge"? There are already challenges and we didn't need the enabled scamming feature.

Tbh, you should only do IRL deals with people who are well-known and have a good bal

i am here to reply to some of the points of scaccepters (scam accepters)
  • its only noobs who fall for them
not really. sometimes people lose millions on scams and even people with ranks. tp trappers are also something which are hard to avoid even when having comet or smth
  • it gives a challenge for people to avoid scams
number 1: wtf does that even mean? the challenge becomes useless when they have been affected by atleast 1 scam. i dont really understand this. number 2: uhh, there is no number 2.
  • it would be too much for the staff team to handle
while this could be true, i dont think it completely is. there are usually only 1 or 2 scammers online at a time, and when new ones come, if there actually was active staff on skyblock, which there isnt because everyone "loves" kitpvp, they could be able to verify the scam easily and ban them.

so yeah

rule of thumb is if its too good to be true then dont go lmao, if you get tped put everything in a chest or your pv then go

its not hard to avoid it :/ besides after like 5 minutes of them scamming everyone will call them out so like,, your fault

i got scammed 10k last season when i started, it was both something that pissed me off and something that made it more fun i guess

irl scamming is bannable since thats illegal, but i have no issues with in game scamming, i think i makes it more chaotic and fun

there are way more scammers than you think. you also forget theres scams on kitpvp and survival. what if a staff member isnt on at the time? someone would report it, and logs would have to be checked, wasting so much of higher staffs time for something which 99% of the time is very easily avoidable

I think scamming shouldn’t be bannable but it shouldn’t be allowed. Like maybe you shouldn’t be able to sell items for more than 1 million or you can only sell certain items for a expensive price (like spawners, etc) maybe this well help idk. Or you can just be careful about scams

Or you can just try to avoid scams. If someone says free diamonds and they are no rank and they’re island level is below 200 then its pretty obvious issa scam. Now IRL deal scammers that’s actually bad so thats why I never do irl deals lol. Im going to do something like 8rz and make a “how to avoid scams”

Hello podoqob,
As a person who has been scammed millions the first week, I was playing. I can say that it won't happen. Technically its a donation you are giving them something. The solution will be just /ignore advertising informing the community. Another solution is a forced tutorial to show tips and tricks on how to do skyblock and the ways to not lose money(aka scamming). I completely trust the mods to handle the situation.
Sincerely,
Atowclicker

sos u guys dont have a brain to understand to not do IRL deals?

they are quite easy to avoid once you know what to look out for. once you are scammed once take it as a lesson and try to move on and learn from that.
