As a 1.15.2 player, I've found 1.8 to be rather boring
It's true that 1.15.2 is way more interesting than 1.8.9 but I mean... Before those versions exist, I don't know about you but I never got bored of playing on multiplayer survival even if I spent my entire days doing that during the holidays and week-ends.
Let me rephrase for you

When I said admin troll I meant some events , and some action , and pretty sure not only zelk and skep can do that , but in the most part I meant that we need more content
