Yes it would be cool to scare away creepers, but dogs are just generally better than cats.
 
Also wild ocelots will always run away from you

Im assuming you just have these animals on a lead or something

Wtfricc you mean "dogs do like no damage"? They do like 2 hearts. And attack quickly. Ocelots do j a c k s h i t

cats look cute and when i was like 9 i would spawn a ton of dogs (like 20) tame them and make them attack a cow and it would take like 7 seconds

well the point is that dogs are useless unless you’ve just started, and if you have just started you wouldn’t be able to tame them. cats know they wouldn’t help kill it very much so they don’t bother.

So you are saying they are both are useless, correct? There are many uses for dogs besides when you first join. They're also a good companion to have. So are cats, but other than scaring away creepers they are virtually useless.

dogs just slow u down cuz u have to not hit them when u attack a mob, cats don‘t get in the way do they? you also don’t have to feed cats cuz they don’t go attacking random mobs and hurting themself.

When you attack a mob are you aiming for their feet or something?? Yes cats don't get in the way of the mobs feet but do they attempt to help you- and do you kill the mob quicker while they're around? Also how are you supposed to heal cats then? The fact that Mojang didn't even add something to heal cats with makes them even more useless. Oh and also the fact that dogs go out of their way to attack mobs for you makes it even better.
