Late February, 2020, almost 1 year ago:
Covid was just announced and school was cancelled, it seemed like a perfect time to try some hypixel skyblock, after a few days, I'd been muted for probably ranting in a bedwars game like I often did. It was near evening, I decided to go to invaded lands survival as I watched a few skeppy videos recently. Took me a few minutes to realise that I was in spawn, and I went in the portal. I spawned in a beautiful plain of flowers at night, I seeked refuge by a nearby mountain and gathered supplies. I got a few furnaces and gathered iron, I soon ran out of food and only found a few rabbits for food. I begged for food in chat and someone named lanne came and gave me a life supply of steak, I was shocked and asked how they got so much steak. They said it was a cow farm, I replied with a "nice", I soon asked if I could live with them, lanne replied with a yes. I was soon teleported to the new biome with my iron and coal, it was a beautiful ice biome with mountains and tall ice spikes. I soon had made a box looking home, not the best, but it worked. Soon after, lanne showed me around their home and also told me that I was free to use the cow farm as much as I wanted to. Then something else had caught my attention, it was a picture, but in minecraft? I started asking what it was, and I was told it was a map art. I'd never seen such a thing before, after that, I started to meet people, build and also learn a lot about this server. I remember making a giant mall with a player named moneystijn, I asked if I could put my banner shop there and help him build, he agreed, and we made idot tower. After a few more days, I found a banner shop, the person was selling pretty well made banners, they seemed good at it. They eventually retired and sold the shop to me, I learned banner making and sold map arts that we're made in the community, sadly I had forgot their name. I went on to build many things and meet many amazing people. I played every day till the server died, the best months I ever had in my life, thank you survival community.
