the torch down to me and told me to carry on his legacy with invaded interviews.
So without further ado welcome to the first edition of the new invaded interviews 2.0 with our special guest and a good friend of mine Redot.
123_YEET - Start by introducing yourself.
Redot - I'm Redot, a random person on the internet who primarily played Invaded from 2018 to 2021, and thereafter I've been in and out of staffing for the server. I'm still around here and there, though it is a little less due to college lately.
123_YEET - When/Why/How did you join InvadedLands?
Redot - Well, shoot, partner! Back in 2018, I done moseyed on into this here community after watching' Skeppy's videos. His stuff was so dang funny, I just had to join in on all the fun. Yeehaw!
123_YEET - What do you like about IL? And what do you dislike?
Redot - Ah, what I most cherish about InvadedLands is the splendid camaraderie and vibrant spirit of the community. The people here are simply delightful, making every interaction a joy. However, the occasional moments of contention, stemming from the competitive nature of the community, can be a tad disheartening. Despite this, the overall goodwill and resilience of the members make it a truly wonderful place.
123_YEET - What are your thoughts on the IL community?
Redot - It depends on how you define the InvadedLands community. It's all a subset of Skeppy's fanbase, or people who at least know of him, but a lot of it is divided between people who just enjoy playing pvp, survival, or skyblock, whereas a whole other side of it is pretty much strictly event players. There are some outliers to those statements, but both of these groups of people are welcomed on Invaded as part of the active community. I think it's a pretty charming, odd bunch of people, and I'm here for it.
123_YEET - If you could change anything of the server, what would it be?
Redot - Probably bring Zelkam back.
123_YEET - Do you have any advice you want to give to new players?
Redot - Do /kit pvp, Put 2fa on your account, Don't accept random /tpa requests, IRL always goes first in deals, Read the rules, Don't ping Fabelz, Maybe just turn off chat entirely, Touch grass every now and then, Don't click on #media, and Don't edate.
123_YEET - Who have you met in the server that you’ve made friends with?
Redot - (in no particular order) blurmit, smoke, hyperfirers, neptune, csyre, TOYOTATHON_2013, fabelz, zelara, joee, viper, snow, listere, periys, 123_YEET (the man of the people), and countless others who I've either lost contact with or who left the community. Way too many to list off, those are just the ones who come to mind.
123_YEET - When/Why/and Whats it like being a staff for invaded lands.
Redot - I'd say (as for why I do/have done it in the past) is because it's something fun to focus on in my spare time, as well as the staff/people I've met through them becoming some of my best friends. I feel as though I've been pretty engaged with this community in the past, but where I'm at right now has been the best/most rewarding iteration of it. I just know some really great people that I never would've met if I wasn't somewhat involved with what they were interested in, the common interest being InvadedLands.
123_YEET - What's the reason behind your username?
Redot - I changed my user a lot before I decided to stick with this one, at some point I just realized I probably wouldn't be happier with a different one, so I stuck with it - it's simple and sweet, and I can't think of anything better.
123_YEET - When and how did you meet Minecraft?
Redot - I started playing Minecraft in 2011 on what was (before Bedrock Edition) Pocket Edition. I got a really bad computer in 2012, but Minecraft could run on a potato back then. So I got Java Edition in 2012, and here we are, 12 years later.
123_YEET - What was your first reaction to the game?
Redot - I probably just thought it was a super awesome game, I was like 7.
123_YEET - What's your favorite thing to do in-game?
Redot - Lately it's been developing servers, before then (and still) it's been InvadedLands, before that it was Hypixel, and before that, it was singleplayer.
123_YEET - What would you like the next Minecraft update to be?
Redot - Maybe in 1.22 they can remove Microsoft from the game, that'd be nice because they like to sell my data.
123_YEET - Do you prefer the recent versions or the older ones?
Redot - The older ones hold more nostalgia for me but they were way too hard. You were forced to strip mine and never find diamonds, the game had way less features, a lot of things about it were not that great, especially compared to modern versions. Even if Microsoft sells my info, at least they added some quality of life improvements to the game. So I'd much prefer playing a modern version.
