Really nice project. I like the tropical idea, but I think it'd look even nicer if you made four quadrants with four different "biomes" (tropical, desert, plains, snow).

what if each beacon was a different color that represented the above biomes (tropical cactus green, desert perhaps yellow, plains lime green, and snow plain white)?
