If I bought overlord in skeppy's server do I get High priority to join his events?

If skeppy just keep giveaway ranks all the time, I won't buy a rank although I have MVP, there's no point to buy a rank if skeppy keeps givesaway ranks, its literally pointless, it's better if he gives people rank for limited amount of time.
