Sometimes you need to rejoin the server when this happens. Even changing versions has helped, not sure if it’s client side or not but yeah. Hope this helps for if it happens again or hasn’t stopped!

I’d recommend claiming the area you were going to put your chests down, before putting your chests down. I’d do the same since I get anxious about my chests being stolen lol But when it comes to your chest, pretty sure that once that player puts a sign on the chest, the player owns the contents...
