You aren’t wrong I agree it is fairly simple to add the pinger plug-in and use it as a placeholder in the server selector menu that way players can view the server status. I also believe the versions should be configured to the latest compatible ones

I'm pretty sure the reason behind it saying "Server online" is that they haven't edited their server selector menu wich they should since it confused players
