it's been mostly just like 3-ish clans feuding against each other for the past while, but I think with the new feature of clans being introduced it'll be a big thing

clans are basically a group of people who work together to take over the server, clans are usually filled with the best of players who will help achieve this goal. it's basically just a fun way of messing around whilst trying to take control of the server with friends
