1.15?

I noticed that the server only runs on 1.7-1.8 is there any reason for that. It would be nice to have 1.15, so in survival and skyblock we can use new blocks. I can understand if it was a "bungeecord" or a "spigot" thing, but I have been able to create my own server for 1.8.9-1.14. But I was just curious about why the server hasn't been updated recently to a newer version.

Edit: I was messing with my own server and found out that you can use 1.8-1.15

Here are all the reasons why this is a bad idea:
  1. The anticheat will end up false-flagging and false-banning players due to the differences between the versions
  2. Plugins are gonna break (because they are made for 1.8) and upgrading them is costly
  3. They'll have to recode the custom spigot they use in order to work for 1.15
  4. PvP is gonna be awful, even on 1.8
  5. If they just add support for 1.9+ the problems are gonna be: point no.1 and that you won't be able to use the new blocks
  6. It's just not worth it in the end as both skyblock and survival are smaller than kitpvp. And nobody in their right mind pvps on 1.9+

someone already asked if the server would be like upgrading and zelk said no.

and 1.8>1.15

1.15 probably wont be supported for kit pvp but maybe survival or sky block I have had some experience with developing and 1.15 is a pain in the ass to use.

abseloutely not, it will cause so many bugs and glitches with both anticheat and game in general, not to meantion the lag.
