Okay so recently I have seen the requesting locks in threads AGAIN. Now I do admit that I use different to do this but thinking back that is such a dumb thing to do, I mean think about the staff getting fifty freaking pings to lock the one thread for a question being answered. Like actually just stfu and stop. Put ur self in the staffs position and think of how annoying it’d be. Also sorry to any of u staff that u see this. I used to this apologies.

You're referring to the common phrase "minimodding".
Now, I doubt it'll stop, but guys... if staff see that you or one of your piers has efficiently resolved an issue/answered a question, they'll lock the thread. It's not on our part to constantly request locks.

The only problem is when people necro post, but people seem to think that a threads need to be locked every. single. time. and it gets really annoying, lol

Also if you don't request a lock, there's a good chance the post will just "die" on its own. No one will continue to necro post/post boost, and it will fall down the list and down the pages, and it might never even require a lock.

Yeah, I used to take "Mini-modding very serious" but recently I have looked back and thought about how annoying it must be, and I also agree, I doubt it will stop.

This is true. Staff will see that a question/thread has been answered and lock the thread in their own time. They have loads of other more important things to do then constantly getting "Requesting Lock". When the staff feel it is right to lock a thread, they will lock the thread.
