Back on the old forums I decided to write a long thread with Suggestions and Potential updates that could be brought to skyblock, so now that it's gone I've decided that rather than doing something productive, I'll just write a new one. ;)

I feel the smartest way for me to do this is split the thread up into different topics, instead of it being just one large block of randomly thrown in ideas. I'll start each idea with a title, then a description, and then how I feel it should be executed. (I'll add a content of the different ideas below if you're someone who doesn't want to read all this)

1. Island Upgrades
This is one that is seen on many servers and I feel would work extremely well within Invaded.
If it isn't evident this would allow players to spend in-game currency in order to purchase different upgrades for the islands.
Each upgrade would have different levels providing different benefits. I feel that there are 5 main upgrades that could be implemented. These include;

Crop Upgrade: This upgrade would cause an increase in the speed of crop growth on an Island. Allowing for farms to make money more efficiently. This could be down in two ways; One of these could increase the speed by a certain % each level. The other could allow different crops to grow faster each level. However I feel the first would be better suited to Invaded's Skyblock.

Loot Upgrade: This upgrade would cause mobs on the island to drop more loot than usual. This would provide more items for players to sell making money more efficiently. This could also be done in two ways similar to the Crop Upgrade. One having different % of drop increases or the other having different mobs unlocked with each upgrade. I feel either of these would work well.

XP Upgrade: This upgrade is self explanatory, each upgrade a higher amount of XP is granted for things within the island such as Mob Farming, Smelting, etc. However I feel that this may be less useful than other upgrades as XP is easily obtained however this could work well with some of the other suggestions such as Custom Hoppers, which could be upgraded with XP.

Mob Upgrade: This upgrade would increase the amount of mobs that spawners produce each time, Currently the only way to improve Mob Grinders is to increase the number of spawners in place. This caps out at 64 so implementing this for a high price would be a useful tool to the grinders on the server. As it would allow for stacks of Mobs to reach 15k faster.

Size Upgrade: This upgrade is also self explanatory, it would allow for the dimensions of the island to be increased. For example, each upgrade could add 50 blocks to the islands dimensions. 200 x 200 --> 250 x 250 --> 300 x 300 and so on.

2. Custom Drops
In my opinion Custom Drops are a must have on Skyblock servers. They allow the game to flow a lot smoother and remove the uselessness of some mobs within the game. As well as adding another level of progression as rather than only 2-3 spawners being important it can allow for a lot more to be used. For example, this season solely requires the use of Chickens, ZPs and IGs to gain levels and money. (and potentially Villagers but not so much). I feel that if prices were changed and mobs like Villagers were added to drops Emeralds and other mobs like ZPs, IGs and Skeletons had their secondary drops removed, they'd become much more viable to use. As a lot of the times secondary drops such as Poppies and Bows clog peoples hoppers. If the economy changes along with each season this could add fun new challenges to the server as players try to figure out the best way to begin making money, this could cause players on the server to spend time figuring out the best methods. Such as farming Snow Golems, or Guardians for a season.

3. Custom Hoppers
Custom Hoppers could be a useful way to improve the server. Currently players are very limited within what can be built on an island. Limiting the number of farms that can be made. Which is a positive and a negative. I feel that the addition of Custom Hoppers and a lower hopper limit could potentially improve the server. However this may be up for debate. As well as that I also understand that these may cause lag on the server so may not be able to be implemented. There are four hoppers I can currently think of that could be useful. These include;

Crop Hopper: When this hopper is placed it is able to pick up any crop that is dropped within that chunk. As this seems a bit OP I feel a good way to nerf this could be limit it to one type of specified crop and limit the amount it can pickup at a time. This would allow for an upgrade feature within the hopper which could be placed within a GUI. Increasing the amount it could pick up as well as the amount of crops it can pick up at once.

Mob Hopper: When this hopper is placed it would be able to pick up all the drops from mobs within a chunk. This also seems a bit OP and the same nerf from the Crop Hopper is also viable here. As well as this Hopper being more expensive in price.

Ore Hopper: This hopper could be placed near large cobble gens and pick up all the drops that are mined in the chunk. This would allow for those cobble gens to be much more useful as currently it is costly to use hoppers with them. It could help newer players to get spawners faster as they're not having to smaller and slower ore gens.

Chunk Hoppers: This hopper is not a necessity but some players may find a use for it. When placed it would pick up all the drops in the chunk. This could help for mining blocks that are floating for example rich blocks floating above the void. It would reduce the loss of these.

4. Vote Points
I feel that this is a great way to persuade players to rank as well as giving a reward to the loyal players who do. After a player votes they would receive a vote point. This vote point would then be saved up and could be spent in the Vote Shop. Each month this vote shop could change. There are several items that could be included within the vote shop for example. Temporary Fly, Temporary Ranks, Spawners, Beacons, Keys and more. This would also help the players who are unable to donate.

5. Multipliers

Multipliers are a great way to improve players game experience. Multipliers allow players to sell items for more for a specific period of time. For example I could receive a 2x Multiplier that lasts for 30 minutes. During which my items would sell for double. This would allow players to grind more effectively. As these would be well sought after they'd have to be quite rare. Perhaps only be available in Crates and the aforementioned Vote Shop or through the to-be mentioned Player Challenges.

6. Achievements
I cool concept that I haven't seen before on a Skyblock server is Achievements. These would set small legacy challenges that can be completed with game time. For example these could consist of killing a number of players, killing a certain number of mobs, placing a certain number of blocks, walking a certain amount of block and more. Each achievement could have a cap of level 5. For example "Farmyard Frenzy I - Kill 10000 Cows - Reward: 50k" "Farmyard Frenzy II - Kill 25000 Cows - Reward: 100k"
Once an achievement reaches level 5 a special item could be received. For example "The End V - Kill 5000000 Endermen - Reward: Dragon Egg". These items don't necessarily have to have an impact on gameplay they could just be cool collectibles. As well as this an achievement for completing a number of achievements could be created. Rewarding players who completed all of them an extremely rare item. This could be a player head of the higher staff or something even more valuable such as a rank depending on the number of Achievements. Although the staff heads would be pretty cool to try and collect, maybe each staff member could make set of achievements in order to gain their heads as a reward, making the community more involved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well they are all my suggestion that could be implemented. I would love to see some of these used :)

ngl, there's a 99% chance that nothing will be done. I've made a lot of the same suggestions within the last 2 years, and so far only one suggestion has been implemented (greifing skyblock the day before the reset).

Yeah I know but it's worth a shot.

I've spoke to Neon about a lot of it when I was staff so I'm hoping. Which is why the spawner stacking got added initially I believe after we made a staff suggestions doc. So I'm hoping some staff may see this and have some influence or perhaps the details and depth I have provided and can provide if necessary may also have a factor.

Skyblock is good as it is now.
I never said it wasn't I just feel that the seasons are repetitive, and can definitely be improved. As well there is a very big lack in distinction from other servers. As it's not the servers gameplay or mechanics that attract players. It's the size of the server and Skeppy's Youtube that does.

It's really what you make of it yourself, if you grind chickens, yes every season will be the same.

Grinding Chickens, and ZPs are the only viable methods of grinding within the games. I understand that I could just not grind. But that is the premise of Skyblock. To reach IS Top. A couple of seasons ago I decided to build an entire 200 x 200 town using all my island space after I'd made a lot of money and you begin to run out of things to do. I feel if Achievements were to be implemented as a feature they'd work regardless of if the server stayed the same or changed in economy as a fun little side thing for players to do. As well as Island Upgrades, Vote Points and Custom Drops being overall improvements.

What do you mean with custom drops?
I mean you could look at the post I do thoroughly describe everything I'm talking about.

Ehhh I would but from @BloodNoon 's description it seems I'm better off just trying to get a thread to blowup and or talk to higher staff myself.

Great suggestions but I suggest you bring these up with the council :)
