This is pretty self-explanatory, but anyways, I think it might be a good idea because nowadays you can't AFK due to the huge amount of people on the server due to COVID-19, it's likely that you'll time out. So maybe they could have something that makes your island go while you're offline so stuff can be produced? (e.g cactus farms and spawners still going)
just a suggestion

that would cause immense lag

spawners isn't really possible as far as I know, I think cactus and other farms should be able to run playerless with some redstone

so you want the cactus farms, melon farms, sugarcane farms, and all redstone contraptions of over 85,000 islands to be constantly running, on a server already encountering lag issues, and you don't expect it to cause lag

With plugins, weirdest stuff is possible. The thing is; this would cause immense lag (as stated before). Due to this, my conclusion is that this would be a bad idea since invaded (as stated before) is already having lag issues and a massive player count due to covid. :)

Also I would like to add, I know they would not buy this plugin, but it’s just an example proving that this sort of stuff IS actually possible

Yeah, find a redstone chunk loader that works with invadedland's skyblock and is possible with the materials you have, and I think if you make it large enough, you've got a fully loaded island, even when you're offline. Though I do agree automatically loaded all player islands constantly would cause an insane amount of lag, it is useful to have an island loaded without afking. It should possible to load your island with vanilla redstone if you're dedicated enough, though there may be a chance of these chunk loaders not being allowed, because of lag, and also possibly large amounts of money easily getting earned.

There would be way much more lag and way more players timing out if they did that
