Before this thread starts, yes, i have quit, yes my farewell thread has been made, and i DID say that i wouldn't make anymore threads on here. But honestly I've been wanting to say this for ages, and there's not a better time.
This isn't really coming from an OG players perspective, I've only been on here for a year and a half, but i'm sure even the most OG players on here will agree with me on this.
InvadedLands is the exact. same. stale. shite that it has been since the server launched. Now no hard feelings towards any of the staff here, they do a great job, this is really more aimed at the Managers here and Devs. Since their job is to add more features or fix bugs.
New Content
What i don't understand at all is how you don't listen to one thing the community suggests, and how blind you are to criticism, and this is coming from someone who loves this server. Players who genuinely care about the future of this server have given you TONS of suggestions that would really help this server increase, You have an entire thread on the Forums filled with (mostly) great ideas, that would improve the server for the better. Not only that you have an ENTIRE PLAYER COUNCIL for suggestions, which i was a part of, and ive seen tons of great suggestions being accepted by the council, and voted for by the community, yet, nothing changes, nothing.
If you really want to bring old players, who love the server back. Then start listening to what they have to say, they are the whole reason why this server blew up in the first place, maybe you should do them a favour back.
Toxic Community
oh boy where do i start with this one. This server is literally INFESTED with skeppy fanboys, cheaters, and #1 PotPvP tryhards who perm you if you look at them funny, its not fun. Now this isnt anything to do with the Management team, as they cant really control this in any way. But the rules can be altered to better suit the player experience, Surely you want new players to feel welcome?
Now about the Discord. The discord is basically a lost cause, i dont know how you can possibly fix that without just shredding it to peices and starting it again. But you can fix the player support section, and Have more active staff on their. OR have Discord mods, who moderate chat, mute spammers etc. That dont get a rank on InvadedLands. The real issue with discord is the player support waiting queue. It can take hours of waiting just for a mod to even notice that they are in support waiting. And im willing to bet that every mod on InvadedLands has seen a player in support waiting, and has just ignored it. Players who have been banned unfairly, instead of joining support waiting, have to wait months just for their false ban to be noticed. Which at that point, you may just as well move onto a different server.
P2W aspect
For new players, they get two 24 hour kits, Kit daily and Kit default, which gives them prot 1 diamond armour and sharp 1 diamond swords, Kit daily doesnt even give you a bow. But there are people on the server who can spend 200 pounds on a rank and have A ton of god kits and god swords and can just annihilate a casual player. Aaaand no one sees a problem with that. The server has over 100k+ logins from new accounts. and yet the server averages 1k players, that means 1% of all players on average actually stay on invadedlands, and dont move onto a new server. (Now thats exaggerated, yes i know bots, skeppy fans that just join and leave, but the main point remains.)
The YouTube Problem:
Honestly at this point Skeppys YouTube channel basically thrives off him feeding of the 9 year olds. Including the stupid 14 memes or ping spoof memes. And his server reflects this perfectly. InvadedLands is filled with 9 year olds waiting for skeppy to appear, and when he doesnt? They spam the chat with literall nonesence, all you have to do is go onto the server and Look for yourself. Skeppy may as well not be an owner, As far as im aware, he does nothing for the actual server, other than pay for the host, and just pay for the managers. And its annoying because he looks like a great staff member, he can spot cheats easily because he has a lot of experience, yet he wants to spend his time making videos like
Literally the only time he goes onto his server is to troll and mess it up for his YouTube.
Zelkams channel is another story, He does his job, i know this because ive seen him in action, hes a great staff. He handles loads of appeals and handles the staff well. But His trolls on the server, after hes done, he just slows the chat and hopes that does the job. it doesnt. it really doesnt help at all.
Putting on slow mode after youve done a troll is the equivalent of shooting a water gun at the sun.
Please dont air this thread, if your a staff member, and see this thread, dont think your not powerful enough to forward this to the managers, If you really care about the server. Listen to what we have to say, or you can just air everything, ignore the community that wants to improve, and just infinitly feed of the skeppy fans that join the server.
