What happened to Battle Royale? I heard that Skeppy broke it but is it ever coming back? It was one of the funniest games on Invaded and it consistently got 30+ players.

Battle Royale was removed because it was only considered as a beta gamemode so it wasn't an official release.

It was probably discontinued because it made no money compared to any other game mode (never played it so I don't know).

UHC was the replacement for battle royale as it was considered a beta gamemode, these were never made to make money they were to give the players something to do on the side if they could muster up enough people.

Honestly, I Would Say That Battle Royale Was Just A "beta" For Uhc Ofc These Are Not Official Just Tests (For Now At least)
