Why InvadedLands Isn't Fun Anymore

most of the alts that get on leaderboards get there loot from their main account. Most nons aren't teamed with diamond kids too. Teaming with people who play 24/7 is hard to do if you just started playing the server. If you just started playing you won't have that much money to buy armor. IRL deals most likely won't be done by 10 years olds.

"3 hours" most people who first join aren't willing to play the server for more than 3 hours. Also there are less people paying for the IRL deals than people wanting to do them. This was pure luck and people might not be able to get as lucky as you were.

Also all of the people who do the IRL part usually chargeback or left the server.
 
yes, I agree also. Kitpvp is too unfair for people that dont have a rank, and irl deals can get you banned for no reason. It is very risky. There are ALOT of people that buys you a rank, then chargebacks you and you get banned. This should be fixed on invadedlands.
 
I agree, I'm an awful PvPer but when I played IL I had some chance of beating someone with normal kit like me, but as soon as someone with a better kit came to me I could hardly do anything. Punch bows, better armour, more apples...

(I don't play Skyblock so I'm not going to put anything about that)

This is why many known players are starting to not play. This is also why people are struggling to see the fun in InvadedLands. For me it seems like a job to get on and play on Invaded. It's boring and there's no fun in it. Here are just a few of the reasons that I feel this way.

-Toxicity and Spam
-Minecraft EULA
-Blacklists and Bans
-Hub Mains and Queues
-Updates and Resets
-InvadedLands Player Council
-Tp Trapping In Survival
-Nothing To Grind For

Pay To Win/Overpowered Armor

If you go into the battle area with iron armor you get destroyed. Let me expand on this, this also follows by “pay-to-win.” When you go to the store on InvadedLands you can buy a rank in KitPVP. These ranks include access to higher kits that unranked people can’t use. If you were to purchase top rank (overlord) you get access to all kits from VIP-Overlord because of this Overlords will kill people in iron. It’s almost impossible to play when everytime you drop down you get killed by people with better gear than you. When you have gear like this you rarely die which makes the game less fun. All you do is kill and loot, kill and loot, kill and loot there's not much more than that. From my experience with survival as a top rank, after you have everything you need there’s not much left to grind for. What’s the point of having lots of money if there is nothing to do with it?

Toxicity and Spam

As we know many people who play InvadedLands are quite toxic. How many people get temp/permanently muted a day from toxicity? It seems like a lot right? How many times will you go to a server to see someone saying “talk for free _____.” I see that a lot, it just shows how often people get muted. Most players on InvadedLands play Mineman and I see a lot of them being toxic there. I know it's not Invaded but most still have the same energy on Invaded as they do on MineMen. Staff members can't control someone being toxic, but toxicity is still an issue. Let's move on to spam. Spam is the worst after Zelkam or Skeppy have been on. I also see a lot of people who say, “if you spam 14 skeppy will come.” This is bad because most of Invaded’s player base is little kids who watch Skeppy and actually believe this. The spam will kick in and the person will get muted. This doesn't really help because the spam will continue regardless. This ties in with Skeppy fans. If one person says “Is skeppy here,” people will freak out. The chat will be spammed with people saying things related to Skeppy. When staff members aren’t on this can go on for an hour or more until one gets on and slows down chat. The people who spammed go unpunished, but staff members are usually in vanish and most will get punished. This is just one of the reasons we need more staff especially with more getting demoted/resigning. I know staff applications are open, but last time they were open they didn't have enough so they opened right after trial periods were over.

Minecraft EULA

According to www.akliz.net, “The EULA specifically forbids charging players in exchange for game altering or behavior changing items or mechanics that gives them advantage over others who don't pay or may pay different amounts.” The Minecraft EULA is not used and definitely not followed by InvadedLands. As I stated earlier players with Overlord have an unfair advantage as players without it. This is also present in survival with /fix, /fly, and any rank with /heal and /feed. There is way more in survival and those are just the main ones. /fix is unfair, if you were to have an overpowered pickaxe that was about to break and you didn’t have fix it would have to break. The only way that it wouldn’t break is if you used an anvil to fix it, but you would have to have enchantment levels and the material used to make it. /fly is overpowered. If I was only able to buy one thing on Invaded it would be this. Fly makes it easier to build. You don’t have to use blocks/water to help you get to a higher point to build. Heal and feed explain itself. You don’t need to use any of your grinding money to buy food, you can just type one command. This doesn’t follow the EULA when servers such as Hypixel follow it completely.

Blacklists and Bans

In Invaded there are a lot of blacklists and bans. Some are false, some aren’t. Usually the ones that are false go unnoticed for a while. Blacklists appeals can take months for them to see as most are overlooked . It’s not fair to the people who have bought things there. They can’t just take back the things they bought, they have to wait it out. After waiting it out they’ve usually found other servers to play on. This gives them no reason to continue to play Invaded after being blacklisted for so long. There is not much to do for these people who get blacklisted because it’s not their faults and the only people who can handle it are managers. This also brings me into the staff team. With more false punishments there aren't many people to unban and unblacklist. There needs to be more Admins, not just more mods. Don’t get me wrong, there needs to be more mods. Mods mute and ban. They don’t handle purchase supports and unblacklists.

Hub Mains and Queues

As of writing this there are currently over 1000 players online in the hubs. Almost 200 of those people are queued for event-b as event-a is down. As the player count rises most stay in hubs as they are looking to be in a Skeppy Video. Is this really a real player base? Queues, I believe that the queues are messed up. I remember when I first queued on reset for survival. I was 1st in the queue, when I woke up I was 18th. I’m not sure how this works because I have top rank. I have no idea if it has anything to do with other servers or not. Even though with top rank on that server you’d think you’d stay priority in the queue. This is also present in server reboots where I get pushed down to a lower priority.

Updates and Resets

This is pretty self explanatory. We need more resets, especially when top people grind and get far ahead then everyone else. New players have zero chance of even getting close to the top. If it’s balance or if it’s MCMMO. What’s the point of grinding if there is nothing more to grind for? If you have everything in game IRL deals don’t even apply to you anymore. What is my reasoning to grind? I have none. There’s no point in getting or even trying to get on bal top when people already have millions of dollars. Even if I did grind for millions of dollars, what would I do with it? It would just sit there for show. Updates, it took a whole season when skyblock already had stacking for survival to follow up and get it. A single update to a server that took months to complete. Our season was a little over 6 months. Resets ending with Survival resetting last. 6 months is a little too long. I think we should get resets at least every 3 months for a more enjoyable server. We need more updates that make the server more fun to play. Especially when Survival players had very high hopes for this season. It took over a month to get back /trade. After finding out you were able to dupe claim blocks trough trade, they took it away. It took longer than a month to come back without the trading claim block feature. If it's really that hard for one developer to make more than one update to a server there should be more than 1 developer. TehNeon is doing his best, imagine how much better Invaded could be with another developer.

InvadedLands Player Council

When is the last time that a suggestion from the Player Council actually showed up in game? I don’t even remember. Most of these suggestions are actually really good. So why isn’t the staff team implementing them in game? What are they avoiding? If Player Council actually was able to pass through multiple suggestions that made it in game it would improve Invaded immensely. There is not much more to say about the Player Council. I get that it’s not the Councils fault but there is not really a point of having it when nothing is happening with it.

Tp Trapping In Survival

I know people will say just don’t tp to them this is very hard to do. I’ve been tp trapped by someone nicking as another person. How am I supposed to know that this isn’t the person. I know the people they nicked as so why wouldn’t I tp to them. How am I supposed to know I’m going to WarpPVP? There are no warnings indicating that I’m going to WarpPVP. The only reason I know I’m at WarpPVP is the, “You’re not allowed to fly here.” When this point hits you aren’t able to do anything about it. I usually wouldn’t teleport to someone that I’m not familiar with or at least put my valuables in a chest, but when impersonating people comes to play my first reaction wouldn’t be don’t tp.

Nothing To Grind For

Previously on Invaded they had top 5 rewards. This used to motivate people to play the game in order to get rewarded. Now what are the rewards of playing? Invaded is making so much money from the servers so why can't they put a little of it into top 5 rewards? Overlord costs over 200 dollars. They could make the top 5 rewards less than Overlord. It doesn’t have to be a lot, it just needs to be a little. Look how many people are motivated to stay in the hub in order to be in a Skeppy event with a chance to win 1,000 dollars. They could make it be less than that. Kids would be happy with even 10 dollars. That would give them motivation to be in the servers, not just in hub.

There are way more reasons that go along with Invaded. I know staff team are trying there best, but I feel these are just some of the reasons I find it hard to get on Invaded. Invaded is starting to have a bad community with an even worse environment. It doesn't feel right to play on Invaded anymore. I don't know how I feel about most subjects, but I will say that when you talk about the special skeppy events and players filling up the hub, I don't see how that affects you unless you're entering that queue. I'm not disagreeing with the point yet, because I don't quite know what you're crying to say, so please be a little more clear for me.

This point, I don't really side with you in. If you play on the server that means you're willing to deal with things like this, the fact that people who donate a lot will have an advantage is a given in most servers, and sadly there's nothing you can do to stop this. Just play somewhere else if you hate it that much! I don't play anything but kitpvp, (which is where I think this is most apparent) but I assume it wouldn't affect your specific gameplay at put you at an incredible disadvantage in skyblock or survival.

I agree, they should put more focus on reviews to keep those players to keep a more solid player base. I doubt they don't see tons of people in the forums saying this, because I've seen lots of complaints about this, so yeah I can agree with this.

Yeah I would like to see more frequent updates, but I think the resets/seasons are good length because it gives people like survival players time to work on big projects and stuff.

For example, I was staff on a popular factions server, and when they were doing the top 5 rewards, more people bought in-game items and ranks, and donations covered the expenses.

Overall I liked most of what you had to say, +1. You should make more threads like this in the future! (hopefully you don't have to but it's inevitable). good job.

If someone were to start playing in the middle of the season they wouldn't really be able to grind. With projects there are building servers that are used. It would reset eventually anyways. Why would we move to a higher version? and yeah I agree with the reset thing now, I guess it gives people more chances who may have had a bad start or something.
 
Full reset every 3 months would be way to short for me. My builds took a massive amount of time to make and having only 3 months to do it would be annoying. Maybe like a plug in reset every 3 month where they implement the new plugin/suggestions. Also mcmmo gets reset multiple times during the season. At the end of the day grinding baltop will be the same experience every time a reset isn't going to make this any more fun.
Yeah, I said in a different response 3 months may be a bit too short, but 6 months is way too long. I think the plug in thing would be good. I know about mcmmo, but still people grind it all the time and it's hard to go for. Personally I don't grind for baltop, but I know people who do. It's not fun for them knowing people are so ahead of them. They just want the title when they grind for it. Some people don't like grinding for it and some people do. It's all about preference.

agree with the months thing, especially for skyblock. competition is so dead except for baltop but you can't really beat a irl dealer w/ 400mil. im on my 4th island this season because it gets so repetitive. i love the server but i hope it can improve and make it so players don't quit after a while due to boredom
 
I think wiping the world every 3, 4 or even 5 months is too short. Maybe plugins could be reset, some added and some removed, but that brings a bunch of problems: compatibility issues, for example, and there are plugins such as the claims one that would cause big problems if reset.

I really agree on the grinding part. There comes a point where grinding is really just wasting hours of your life for no reason than maybe an irl deal but if you're already top rank than it becomes even more pointless which would explain why a lot people who had played the server for years recently left. You could say they "finished" invadedlands.
 
I think wiping the world every 3, 4 or even 5 months is too short. Maybe plugins could be reset, some added and some removed, but that brings a bunch of problems: compatibility issues, for example, and there are plugins such as the claims one that would cause big problems if reset.
I don't think this would be able to work. Compatibility issues would be one of the reasons it wouldn't work. That's why the whole world would need to be reset more frequently.
 
Skyblock is from my option the best InvadedLands Game. Because KitPvP is: Boring, Too many toxic players, And also in the Skyblock PVP area there are toxic kids because I have absolutely no armour, nothing and they are like 3 kids on one place teaming and kill me when I came back right after I died they killed me again Because they just think they are good but in reality, they are just toxic kids. NOTHING ELSE., Also an issue on Skyblock is that Scamming isn't bankable which in my opinion it should be bannable.
lil confused what half of this means but scamming is your fault. after being scammed just take it as a lesson and be more careful
