Why would it be negative on content?Setting this up is too much effort for very little positive effect, and negative effect on content.

Capping might be a better choice, also afk kicking so less afk people make it to the event might be a good idea.A better solution is to cap the player limit at 300-400 players, when someone leaves it reopens OR release an event rank for priority in the queues.
just dont wait in the queue then if you have a problem with itHi casey,
I'm writing like this because I'm trying to be polite as possible.
yeah i get your point, but it's the fact that so many people want to play and it's only available to those who are willing to leave their computers on for ridiculous amounts of time! It's literally unhealthy and unreasonable.
Hi Mxxrcell,
It really isn't, it's as simple as this:
A webpage, you can enter your username.
Everyday a machine picks 150 usernames to join the events.
If you have been picked or you win the event you can't play again for the rest of the week
When the weeks over everything is reset.
You can also choose to be notified by email or sms if you've been whitelisted...

Too much time to set it up, cost for hosting, paying web Devs, wasting time waiting for people to join...Why would it be negative on content?
Hi Casey, no, people write like this try to be professional even though they are 8.Hi KimJonqUn,
This is a Minecraft forums. You don’t need to write this in a letter format. It is not that deep.
Sincerely,
Casey
It really isn't that hard to set up, could probably get it up within a day or something.Too much time to set it up, cost for hosting, paying web Devs, wasting time waiting for people to join...
Kicking AFKers would probably be a better option, although there are some clients allowing to bypass that.Or we just make the queues completely random, so it doesn’t matter who joins or when they join, 100 players are just randomly picked from the queue. I don’t know if this would cause any problems but yeah
that's like saying, if the issue affects you then just give up on trying to change it.just dont wait in the queue then if you have a problem with it
I mean there afkers in events even with the standard queue system we have nowKicking AFKers would probably be a better option, although there are some clients allowing to bypass that.
okthat's like saying, if the issue affects you then just give up on trying to change it.
It isn’t an issue tbh, the ones that mostly complain are the ones who join late and realise they have a slim chance on getting into the event.that's like saying, if the issue affects you then just give up on trying to change it.
I think you should let it be, these suggestions may become useful for the actual server queues.ok
but
its
a
skeppy
event
in
minecraft
i can see if you are trying to improve the way the server runs, but one event and you are taking it this deep, srsly bro??
This is already being done, but still doesn't seem like it's enough. Few weeks ago, they were testing 300-400 players in a single event server to see how it held up, so they're definitely trying to get more in.Capping might be a better choice, also afk kicking so less afk people make it to the event might be a good idea.
just because the issue doesn't affect you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It isn’t an issue tbh, the ones that mostly complain are the ones who join late and realise they have a slim chance on getting into the event.
That's nice. Still won't help too much, but nice.Seems like too much effort for a Minecraft event. It's your choice to wait in the queue, and it should be expected there's going to be a long wait because of how popular his challenges have gotten.

But still, it's their choice what they do with their computer. If they're that dedicated to getting into an event, let them do it.just because the issue doesn't affect you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
i understand people play video games for hours but I find it needlessly strenuous to leave your computer on idle for prolonged periods of time just to get into a mc event which lasts an hour, if you''re gonna be on your computer for a while, then do something whether it'd be playing video games or productivity. I've heard stories of people leaving their computers on for days to for a chance of getting into these events, does that sound right to you?
I believe Skeppy'll move on as soon as the pandemic and higher player count stops.and looking into the future: as skeppy's channel grows the hype for these events are going to drastically increase and it will become more and more competitive to get into these games, why not simplify and even out the system now and into the future...?
yeah i understand that but doing this to yourself and wasting energy and time like this is just unreasonable, i know this is out of context but: would you force your employee to travel to a different country and back to get a coffee? it's just unreasonable and wastes timeBut still, it's their choice what they do with their computer. If they're that dedicated to getting into an event, let them do it.
