When an appeal is escalated, there is no point in asking moderators, as they cannot do anything. The escalated appeal is sent to higher up staff to check the logs etc.

It means theres a decent chance your getting reduced. The staff saw one that wasnt a mere troll and has actual support, so they “escalated” it to the higher ups for validity before they accept/deny
