Many people have complained about the loot boxes. Getting shit, or are generally confused about why there are so many micro transactions. This thread will put to rest ALMOST all tactics invaded uses to get you to spend your money.

The “shit factor”
You know the lottery. There’s one or two things you actually want. Your brain is so focused on those items. That you don’t realize that you will get shit. This is a very smart tactic, and has been scientifically proven that one top reward is the thing that keeps on coming.

the p2w factor
Invaded is p2w. You can’t deny it. If you’re going to have gambling, then at least make them cosmetics like csgo or overwatch. Pay to win is paying to give an advantage. Every time you get killed by good loot, it’s just a reminder of the fact that you need a rank. Buying a 300 dollar rank so you aren’t shit at the game ? That’s absurd.

The scarcity theory.

The scarcity theory are those Christmas or legendary crates. This method is proven to work. DONT FALL FOR THIS. It Makes your brain think. “Oh! I don’t want to miss out on this new crate, I should buy one!” this is the scarcity affect. It will use the illusion of scarcity to make you purchase one of these keys. What do you get for $6? Absolute one time use shit. This relates to the grand prize theory. The incentive that you may get something good Outweighs the actual crap that you get.

the “sale”

This may be one of the scummiest tactics in the book. There is an unlimited sale, but it really is just the normal price. This gives illusion that you may miss out and is the perfect opportunity to buy things. It’s almost scamming. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

public ranks.

Not much to say. Seeing players get ranks with that flashy font makes you want to buy ranks.

Remember. Invaded is a business and wants as much money as possible. Do not fall for these tactics.

But it’s for awareness for the players who are trying to purchase ranks. These marketing tactics are scummy.

i mean now its kinda of impossible not to buy a rank if you want to actually be able to play the game, as there is 10min-2 hour long que's wich make non ranked players barley even be able to play..

also the fact that they dont tell you that when you buy a rank u get higher priotey in event que's but you dont. so they litterally are scamming

At the end of the day they can't actually force you to make the decision to buy a rank, technically you buy the rank on your own as a cause of those tactics that they use
