Hello everyone!

I for one feel that 250 hoppers are too few for some of the farms that I could build. I think that it should be doubled, however I know that the server can only handle so many hoppers. Though I feel that they could easily upgrade the server to handle each island having 500 hoppers. What do all of you think? I personally feel that it would help the skyblock experience be much better in that we could have bigger and better farms!

The reason, that management don't increase the hopper limit is because it causes lag with all the items going around. Multiply that with how many people play skyblock, and it'll become insanely laggy. Skybock lag has created incredible exploits already and I don't need it to be 2x as powerful.
example: Invincibility glitch, unobtainable item glitch, barrier block glitch, Infinite healing glitch, not being able to pick up any items in spawn glitch.

stupid lag

True, but the administration of the server needs to upgrade the server so it can handle all of that. They probably won't do 2x, but even increasing it to like 350 would be very good. Or they could add a fast hopper plugin, those sometimes cause lag to chill out.

just cut down on hoppers in other places by using water and ice, works fine for me

The issue for me is that I want to build a huge shop, and I've reached the limit with my Iron golem farm and my egg shop. So I just need like 50 more to be good.

uhh do you understand how a server works? Unless they spend thousands of dollars on a new server, it's not happening anytime soon. Invaded already has a fast hopper plugin (3). Hoppers cause lag just by transporting if there are too many. There was a similar post like yours and it was shot down for the exact same reasons.

I do understand how a server works, and I also understand how server hosts work. I'm not sure how invaded does it, but if they get their servers from a server host they can allocate more ram and processing power to that server. If they need to spend a lot of money on a new server they should. They are a fast growing server at the moment, and a server upgrade would be beneficial. Whether that upgrade is for hoppers or not is up to them. However the server will stop getting players soon if they don't upgrade, because having 50 people all the time in queue for skyblock isn't good, eventually people will just stop wanting to wait to get through the queue. Upgrades are needed one way or another.

I agree that the hopper limit should increase.

yeah its a necessity if you want to go somewhat extreme with farms, just try to make everything more efficient for now.

I’m pretty sure there is a hopper limit to minimise lag

I guess you weren't here for the 600 player queue on reset

As far as I see it, this upgrade is completely unnessassary and quite selfish. You have absolutely no idea how servers work when you said "allocate more ram and processing power". I am wasting my time here, and im out.

To quote Neon in the announcement "we've gone ahead and upgraded some of our machines to keep up with this high demand and have made tons of changes to our systems to further improve their performance." That's what I mean by allocating more processing power/

By the way thank you all for your suggestions on using more waterflow, that will help my issue out a lot.
