I would try it, but I feel like i'll get perm banned instead of temp... I'm assuming you can't hit or be hit by other players. Theres a similar glitch in survival and skyblock where it still hasn't been patched after a year.

You were aware that people get banned for exploiting this glitch, and you do it anyways? And when you get banned for exactly that, you come on the forums and tell others how to do the exact same thing to potentially abuse the glitch even more?
