so im here to tell you why scamming should be bannable
if you came here for a list of scammers go to /is warp
ok here is why

scamming has been a very profitable business lately, which is very sad since people grind hours for this money. some people even do IRL deals with in game money, and the staff cant pretend not to know the fact that people use it for IRL deals since they have tried to revive them by using diamond crates (which are rigged btw, dont buy them). in fact, scamming has gone so bad that scammers like Skeppy1414 and _MoneyHeist_ (formerly known as SkeppysSkittles) have done IRL deals with scammed money. so yeah, its a big problem

it would be too hard to enforce and it’s not really that big of a deal since most of the people who are falling for this are new people, which isn’t that big of a deal since they don’t have that much money, and the money they lose can be earned back easily. it also teaches them a lesson to watch out for scams so they don’t fall for it when they have more money. as for the whole irl deals thing, why does it matter if they do irl deals with the scammed money? what else are they gonna do with it? if they were gonna spend it on in game stuff it has the same effect as them doing an irl deal with it.

Great post, I would like to add that staff'd have a hard time seeing which scams are true, who's the scammer, and so on. It would be an added load on already overloaded staff.
EDIT: just noticed the "it would be too hard to enforce", oops.

Does this really have to be said? Scamming should carry a ban. Little kids play on the server and its screwed how people take advantage of them.

i talked to a staff about this and he said the devs already have too much on their hands banning scammers will do nothing people will still have their money lost and the devs cant give everyone back their stuff they have to go into console and there are hundreds of players scammed each week and the it’s too much since the devs have pvplands now

There are too many scammers on the server for staff to take care of
 
I think for now to not overload the staff, they could put a thing at spawn that shows you scams and how they work. That would solve 90% of the issue right there. I know some members of skyblock create something like this on their island as well.

new scams are always being created, and theres way too many to show them all. yes, this may stop a few people getting scammed, but at the same time, people may think these are the only scams, so be less careful when it comes to other scams that aren't shown there
 
To be fair, on the server I'm staff on scamming is bannable, it's pretty easy to confirm if it's to do with insiding and if it isn't but they have valid proof they'll get punished for it, I know it would be hard to police because invaded doesn't have a huge staff team but the server i'm staff on is bigger that invaded currently and we manage to deal with it. I don't know i don't think it'll change though since the invaded staff team is quite small atm
