Are you seriously questioning why people are leaving?

This thread was neglected for a while however I'll give you the satisfaction of a response; straight from management, i'll respond point by point.

"Actually interesting people" "OGs"
Reason why this is irrelevant is I literally don't care, I get exactly why they leave; and why a vast majority of them come back 2 weeks (maximum) later.
Your opinion in this context has no relevance, why would I care about who you think is interesting? This was a joke of a "point".

Your opinion again does not matter in this context, staff are to be handled by me & @Zelkam, and always will be.
If you dislike a certain staff member; get in line, you are not the first nor does it matter, every staff member in every reasonably sized online community has to deal with the stupidity of certain members of the community and it is what it is, that's why it barely affects anyone on the team, not your place to say anything questioning their position, unless they are seriously in violation of rules or something related to that. If that is the case you may report that to us directly and it'll be handled.

Fans: You walk into your friends house and you see their family members, do you get surprised and complain about it?
So why do you get surprised and complain about "fanboys" when you log onto a server that is owned by a content creator with a large following?
Get used to it, this point was again, a waste of time, both for you to write it out and for me to read.

Toxicity: Welcome to the internet, and more specifically, the PVP community! Anything seriously toxic to the point where it could cause physical harm to another player is taken extremely seriously, and this is known. There's not much that can be done to effectively enforce this as majority of these situations happen OFF of our platforms, making it harder to justify punishments.

Welcome to KitPvP!
Breaking news; this is how traditional KitPvP has been on nearly every single notable server that's had it, with actually less variety, not only this but you are so consumed by your own opinions you don't realize that a majority of players still have interest and enjoy the gamemode as it is.
Do I think everyone still likes KitPvP? No, playing several seasons in the past on alts etc. to get leaderboards I completely get that for people who have been doing this for a while, it gets repetitive and boring. That being said; it's not like there's a magic fix we can implement to make everyone enjoy the gamemode again. That'll most likely never change, however I'm more than willing to make changes where I see fit to make it more enjoyable for all players; not just the small yet loud portion of the server that seems to be fed up with the gamemode.
TL;DR: I acknowledge this point however I don't agree with how you're implying it's like this for every player.

Gonna reply to this in short because there's a lot I can say but it would be most effective to give you the simplest response;
1/2 of the servers you mentioned openly break the EULA as of when this is written (5/2/2020)
If you don't want to buy it, don't, we're not forcing you to play nor purchase anything.
That money does indeed go into development, paying monthly server costs (which are in the thousands, just so you have some idea of what's happening lol), whether or not you decide to believe that, is on you. With that being said, it's a business, majority if not all large networks are businesses, beyond server costs etc. it's profit. Not everything goes into development, not everything goes back into the server, because the server is meant to make a profit, large servers such as Hypixel don't dump all of their earnings into development, they're looking to profit. It's not this big secret that no one has verified before, this has been stated many times, however again, i'm completely fine with trying to find a decent balance between that and the experience for people who don't want to pay, as we get ideas for reasonable changes we can come up with, or that get suggested, I guarantee they'll be changed whenever / however we decide it's appropriate to do so.

And we'll continue to ignore community opinions as we see fit, the amount of power you think the community has is unrealistic, no major network will ever give the community the power that you expect; I don't care whether or not you think that you're correct on a topic about a server you have little to no knowledge of behind the scenes, I really couldn't care less.

You act as if management is actively watching all of your threads looking to pick out the one you made mistakes on; nah you probably have a lot wrong in the other threads as well, however that was the thread that was seen at the time and I responded explaining why more than half your points were wrong.

Again literally no one, not one person, has ever forced you to pay any amount to the network.

How can you fail to realize that you don't know how the server operates therefore any opinion you have on how it's being run is of no importance to anyone of actual power or knowledge in how things function.

When this was written I imagine all of these sections; ban & blacklist appeals, purchase supports, etc were stacked up; however right now, all of these sections aren't stacked up, there's 3 purchase supports ( all waiting on responses for or that i'm about to respond to ), and both a page or so of blacklist / ban appeals that are going to be cleared out very soon ( both sections previously had 15+ pages stacked up each ).
Support is more efficient right now than it has ever been.
While there's no need for extra hands in that sense right now, I recognize the need for consistency in development etc, however that's a very difficult topic to tackle without going in-depth about everything behind the scenes, it's something that's been considered before and is still being considered, there's just a lot that needs to be dealt with. Nonetheless I acknowledge this point and it's considered.

A lot of reasonable people would agree with some of your statements (including me) however a large majority of them will recognize that while your points were strong in some places, you effectively managed to degrade the value of said points by littering the thread with very limiting, self-centered opinions from either yourself or your friends that are biased, opinions like those have no place in a thread that should've focused on the facts.

No response to this I just thought it was funny lol

If I ignored any points; it was purely because something I said applied & invalidated that point already, and it would be repetitive & useless stating it again.
so basically a "your opinion really doesn't matter to me" reply
i can understand some points but just no

Brother, I've been here for a good 4 years.
Your random 2019 ass can't be telling me to get off this server.
You've made an entire thread about how OGs are leaving, you're an OG, so goodbye. Or have you made this thread for nothing? Or it doesn't concern you and you just had to make the thread?

he made the thread for a reason. He wouldn't randomly make a thread saying the server is terrible when infact it is

You actual god lmao

First of all, before we begin. No hated towards any of the staff team, i want my say in this, even though this will most likely be overlooked.
"Actually interesting people" "OGs"

Your opinion in this context has no relevance, why would I care about who you think is interesting? This was a joke of a "point".
I see where your coming from, most people who have made threads saying they're bored out their fucking skull playing InvadedLands have mostly come back in 2-3 weeks. I can tell from experience, I have made a quitting thread before, and completely gone back on my word in about 2 weeks ish.

But you've got to look at the playercount like its two things, The Nons who are only there for Skeppy, And the genuine Fans of invaded, who have put their money into the server and love the gamemodes or content they're putting out.

Sure if you lose some people from the Fans, your playercount wouldnt drop, why would it? Its one person. You have thousands of Other People who join every day, not like you need him, but to look at it like that is incredibly arrogant. I feel like seeing where they're coming from. And why they quit, and see if there is a correlation. If its a retarded reason, that wouldnt fit into Invaded, then sure, ignore it. But if its a genuine reason, that can be changed, then it should be atleast be noticed and be put into consideration for the future.
Your opinion again does not matter in this context, staff are to be handled by me & @Zelkam, and always will be.

This point is fair enough, not everyone likes everyone, its a part of a community, this point is valid.
Fans: You walk into your friends house and you see their family members, do you get surprised and complain about it?

This point is fair enough, but another thing id like to mention

Sure the Skeppy fans pretty much dominate the server. And the Invaded Fans are pretty much outnumbered, but in my opinion, the Skeppy fans are noticed way more, and get a lot more attention from the Management team, Mainly because they can be exploited for content. Skeppy has his entire channel dedicated (Or used to i haven't watched him in like a year) Dedicated to messing with the nons begging to meet him. And him making videos on it only grows his Playerbase adding to the cancer already in the chat

Sure there's nothing we can do about it, there's no getting rid of them ever. Its just an annoying thing that has to be ignored, and I accepted that the moment i joined this server.

About the toxicity, yes there is something you can do about it, maybe updating the rules on toxicity? Update the AntiChat or whatever controls the chat to block multiple variations of the n word or other racist/ discriminative words that can be used against others. No matter what i see it everywhere, practically on the daily. And having it set up so it blocks it, can atleast tone down the toxicity when it gets too far.

This point is dumb, Im going to use an example for this one.

Take the game call of duty, a shooting game, close quarters combat where you shoot the enemy and gain points through kills. This basic concept has been in the game for 17 years. Not only that but literally every fucking shooting game, Titanfall, Destiny, BattleField, CSGO, fucking Roblox Shadow Forces 2000 has this exact same concept, yet Call of Duty has consistant Fans that constantly buy the game with the same concept for years.

Now why would you buy the same shit every fucking year? Because it changes, theres constantly new gamemodes that change the game completely for new players and old ones, that make it more enticing. Trying out new things (EG Infinite Warfare) And being brave with new concepts to change how the game plays (despite Infinite Warfare being a complete shite hole) It still manages to get consistant players.

Hypixel isnt just the Pit, MunchyMC isnt just Kit, they have multiple other gamemodes, wool wars, sky wars, bed wars, fucking god knows what else, and before you say InvadedLands has multiple gamemodes, it has the same ass generic survival and Skyblock, that imo arent good at all,

Be different, dont be a fucking sheep following a crowd of other servers. Be different, stand out, Listen to the community, they care. And make changes where you see fit. It wont kill the server. Just be brave with it.
Gonna reply to this in short because there's a lot I can say but it would be most effective to give you the simplest response;

I feel like this point is a bit obvious, of course a server wants to make money, We all need money, who doesnt like money, i like money.

Nothing else to be said.
Its not really as you see fit, as i mentioned above, its just that you want to sheep all the other servers. Be different to other servers, experiment with changes that could drastically change the gameplay.

Heres An idea i just came up with: Make a new Catagory for new BETA testers:

Have players that have atleast been on the server for 6 months and have them test new Features on a private server, and have them fill out a thread or something along the lines of that telling them what they think, and make changes like that.

Its just a thought, not a bad idea.

All other points that were made were Valid from Mega, I just wanted my say in here, do with it as you wish. Good luck on the future

Jorb

Mega didn't have a response for when McDonald's said "
Why are we supposed to wait 6 months for an update that could've been developed in less than a week?
Especially for updates who don't affect gameplay at all and are often quite boring."

But if its a genuine reason, that can be changed, then it should be atleast be noticed and be put into consideration for the future.
This is a simple case of misunderstanding; of course I care if players genuinely dislike the server for a valid reason that I could fix, and i'll do what I need to for that to not happen in the future, however his point of "OG's" and "Interesting people" leaving is irrelevant due to the fact that a bunch of those that leave, come right back. If they left for a valid reason that they actually stand by and claim that it's such a big issue it's worth not playing the server over, they wouldn't be back on it in less than a month. Aswell as pretty much every "interesting" player that leaves, gets replaced by someone else who actually enjoys the gamemode as it is; rinse and repeat.

About the toxicity, yes there is something you can do about it, maybe updating the rules on toxicity? Any obvious bypasses for the filter etc. are always patched when reported; I meant moreso beyond what we're already doing ( rules / filter etc. ) it's incredibly difficult to tackle toxicity as a large majority of these cases happen privately, on other platforms etc, that both make it hard to verify and justify for us. I recognize this point and I agree, things on our platforms could always be improved and I'll do whatever I can to make sure it does improve over time.

Although I agree to some extent, Hypixel has endless free advertisement by a variety of youtubers, and the monopoly on minigames, if you look at any other large North American server (I said NA because majority of Hypixel is NA, there are servers that challenge Hypixel due to them being in a different region, making it more playable for people in other locations), you'll begin to notice the pattern, it's not because we're looking to "follow" servers, it's observed to be something that doesn't work at this specific moment in time. Every popular server has progressive gamemodes such as Factions, Skyblock, Survival etc. due to the fact that people tend to stick around way longer than they would on minigames. We've experimented w/ minigames before, both on and off Invaded. You can dislike the gamemodes, sure, nothing I can do to challenge your opinion in that sense.
As stated previously, I completely get the fact that these gamemodes aren't enjoyable to some; especially those that have played longer, it's acknowledged, and i'll try my best to combat that in the future.

I feel like this point is a bit obvious, of course a server wants to make money, We all need money, who doesnt like money, i like money.
You'd be surprised by the amount of people who think every last dollar earned from the server should and does get dumped back into the server.

Although I believe a lot of what was said was simply misunderstood, this was a fair response and I completely respect it. Hopefully any remaining misconceptions were cleared up.
Pretty much everything on this thread was addressed and I don't think there'll be any more reasonable responses to anything discussed, therefore this thread will be locked in a week or so as I want to give everyone a chance to say what they want to say but I also expect a lot of useless conversations. It will not be deleted so people can view it and everything that was said. After it is closed you are free to try & counter any of my points by DMing me privately.

You still haven't said anything about the fact that all the updates come every 6 months and these updates could take less then a week to add.
