i have been seeing alot of email and password theft and i was one of the victims

i am not asking for much, but I think that players should be re informed this is a problem and should be herd in the community, like making a post for everyone to see to stay safe.
what to do if i am hacked?
1. you need to change your password. it will log who ever is on your account out.
2. if this dose not work go to minecraft.net and login. if you have not already, add a extra security question. what is my pets name? who is my favorite cousin?
3. if nothing seems to work, try it again
4. if nothing works, contact Mojang or Microsoft, they can do their best to help
What to to after or in the meantime of being hacked?
1. please change any other accounts using the same password example, Minecraft password that was hacked: qwertyuiop123 email password: qwertyuiop123. why? they might be able to login t your other account know all your info.
2. ASK A PARENT OR SUPERVISOR! if you have no experience, knowledge, or are to young, please ask for assistance, be fully honest with them, don't go messing around making it worse for yourself or adults security. If you try to fix it without little or no understanding your bank and or social media cold be the net target for the hacker.
3. DON'T bug a admin or mod, there is nothing they can do but ban the player that sent you the message with a full set of proff. if i am wrong about this please msg me
4. don't panic! it is only a threat if you don't take action on the proplem
5. if they put your account/accounts for ransome take note on any information about them. this can be considered a crime depending on where you live.
What can I do to stop myself from doing this again?
1. always check to make sure you are where you are supposed to be. If a scammer send you a link to something, check the URL to make sure they are not lying and you are on the write site, not a fake one.
2. determine ether or not it's to good to be true. if someone is giving out immoral or a giveaway entering, to to see how real it sounds
3. don't EVER give your passwords to shady sites, look for any evince or reviews before signing your self up that it is safe to use.
4. ask a parent or supervisor to check to website for you. they can help you determine the difference between shady or not.
what to do if my account is truly gone?
1. try not to make a big deal over losing worlds. if any worlds or saves are still available, maybe try downloading them to a new or alt account. check your world saves or folders
2. If your account is truly gone, don't let it ruin you. It happens, and is only a lesson to learn from
3. If you love the game, try making a new account or playing on a different or previously used platform. example: Xbox or mobile
4. maybe it was for the best? If you are addicted to the game take this chance to take a break and do something productive or educating

- use special characters
- watch out from phishing pages, this is very simple just wach the url
- Don't share accounts with idiots
- don't register with the same password of Mc in trash websites that will be leaked in some months (ex. mcalts.store)
- never use your mc password when you register on some trash Mc server for non premium randoms
