Tbh i fucked up here, came at you, you were being reasonable, im sorry for my reaction. Taxing is a percent off of what you make, running a server is a fixed amount. Hypixel for example costs 100k a month to run. This being the largest network in minecraft.
5k - 5k(15/100) (if taxes were 15% of his yt income which theyre not) = 5k - 0.75k = 4.25k
4.25k x 30 days per month = 127.5k
Now looking at why hypixel costs so much it becomes obvious invaded costs nowhere near as much.

  • Every lobby requires its own server
  • Every minigame has hundreds of servers, depending on size
  • Every house is its own server
  • There are 26 staff whose full time jobs are working on the server
  • The server requires hacker protection, antivirus, etc
  • The huge amount of internet the server requires
Now we can easily tell that the roughly 1100 servers used to run hypixel combined with the salaries of the 26 staff are likely eating a large portion of the servers expenses. The protection is exponentially greater along with the amount of net used to run the server. Id say Invaded is a mere fraction of hypixels sum, probably costing less than 10k a month. Id say a much more accurate number would be closer to 5k but im actually curious how much it costs because it may very well be around 15k/month.

Either way neither number takes away from the 127k skeppy is still making more monthly then over 90% of americans makes a year. Hope this helps show why my initial response was on the aggressive side, even if his taxes were closer to 50% the net income would still be ~65k a month.

Honestly I don't have much to add but I wanna say that you can't accurately compare hypixel to invaded since that'd require information we don't have access to. On hypixel, a server that reaches 95k players regularly, every single plugin and every single server is extraordinarily optimized to use as little performance and internet as possible. Invaded lands does not require such rigorous testing and optimization. It still amazes me that servers that large (similar to this and higher) are able to function at all

Im not sure if you missed it but ill copy and paste the entire second paragraph from the post you quoted again

I realised hypixel and IL are very different and just put a figure to show that even the biggest mc server there is would still return skeppy profit. TBH it has little to do with my post, more so to do with the replies claiming skeppy only does what he does because he needs the money. My counter was based on the idea of debunking that his expenses out weigh his income. Either way, it is truly amazing how hypixel organised hundreds if not 1k+ servers together using Bungee to run their network.

If i’m being honest, i’m not sure skeppy does a ton to manage invadedlands. I’m pretty sure he mostly funds it and steps in to staff interviews, but that’s all as far as i know.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes, and I’m just making estimates on what I know.

Could be entirely true. I kinda have nothing against him, more so the idea of using children to make money seems a little off to me.

kids usually ask their parents and if they r not very rich they say no but theres this "rare case" where kids steal mommies credit card but u dont even wanna know what happens to them when their parents find out

not quite, i was saying parents are blind to their childrens actions. I live in a very immigrant dense area (including myself) and pretty much all of my friends have strict stereotypical immigrant parents and i truly doubt 90% of parents know when their kid smoked for the first time (not cigarettes unless ur dirty asf), drank, partied, lost their virginity etc. How many parents of this new era where 95% of us have vapes know that every single kid over 12 has vaped before. Realistically speaking at least.
