Those of you that have experience with PC builds, I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback, as well as any advice you have for me. I'm super excited to receive these so I can get the build going!

I'd love to see your build once it is complete. Don't forget to cable manage!

I'll take a picture, but I don't think too many of the components I picked out have RGB, so from an aesthetic point of view, it shouldn't be too spectacular. It's also my first build, so my cable management is probably going to be horrible lmao

Honestly, I bought my beast of a PC prebuilt from a PC shop (duh... I didn't buy it from a farm did I [self sarcasm]). It has full RGB and everything. If you wanted RGB you could just buy cheap RGB strips and put them around the inside of your case if that's what you are into. But I'm glad you are making this yourself!

Yeah I saw some RGB LED strips were less than 10 CAD, but my concern was mostly with power and utility, I'm not too sure how many USB slots and stuff are available right off the bat, so I'll probably finish the build, then evaluate how much space and how many outputs I have remaining before I look at lighting.

What are your computer's specs?

You could snatch yourself a cheap USB hub.

My specs are:

Intel i7-9700k (something like that)
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070
32gb RAM
2TB Harddrive.
Omen something Motherboard.

EDIT: This cost me £1450 GBP from Currys PC World. If you're interested.

I think a samsung 970 evo plus could be better, it's way faster, newer and it endures a lot more!

I read that that storage is good too, Samsung really makes some top quality stuff.
But it's also a good ~$50 more expensive than the Intel storage, which also has some good reviews.

I'm thinking maybe later on, I can add another M.2 SSD stick, depending on how I feel about the Intel speed.

I think the RX 5700 XT is somewhat comparable with the RTX 2070, so we have similar builds.

How come you decided to go for so much RAM? If you decided to stick with a 2x8GB, you probably could've upgraded your hard drive to a SSD.

I love thos RAMs, ryzen 3 has a lot of benefits with high frequency RAMs, but remember to activate the AMP to set them to the best speed!

Yeah, I watched a lot of Youtube videos, and people kept saying that Ryzen loves high freq RAM, so I tried to go for a 3200+ with decent timings.
What's AMP?

AMP is like XMP for intel, it allows your RAMs to automatically adjust their frequency, timings and voltages to reach the best speed/stability ratio

It's a setting inside the UEFI BIOS of the motherboard

Ah, I'll look into it, from what I've read, the motherboard I've chosen should be relatively stable at supporting high freq RAM, hopefully I won't have to tinker too much in the BIOS settings because I don't want to mess anything up, but if I have to, I'll learn how to tune it down to increase stability.

Overclocking is also something that I need to figure out.
