if you used a vpn, there is a possibility that the IP the vpn was linked to was blacklisted. Many could have used that IP previously.

VPNs are banned. If you make an appeal explaining that you used it as a mistake, it'll get handled and you'll get your blacklist removed. I assume you've already done this, the only thing you can do at this point in time is waiting. I had to wait over two months for an appeal I made, and it ended up getting purged (there was a huge backlog and appeals were a mess). It should take up to 1 month, 1 month and a half. The only thing you can do now is being patient

VPN's are TRIED to be banned, I have many friends who use them because unfortunately the VPN blocker on the server is sub par.
