I am welcoming debate on this thread.

I think most of us knows that Skeppy owns a YouTube channel. And most of those people have watched at least one video. He spends a lot of his time on it, i'd assume, but does he spend any other time taking care of the server other than trolling?
There is a chance I am wrong, and if I am I'd like to hear about it, I've never seen Skeppy work anything on the forums, I don't even know if he does ban appeals, catch hackers without making an entire video on them, or just leave his staff to do the work. I know he pays his staff, but is Skeppy doing enough work by himself?

Yes. But what I don't like, and forgot to mention, is that he basically encourages toxic behavior, and hacking from his videos. I don't really think it's okay, because it's just making Invadedlands a bad place to be.

Must fix.
 
Skeppy does nothing. He pays zelkam and Neon (mega does it for free) to run the server for him. Back in the OG days skeppy did a lot tho, but now he makes yt videos for a living.

I may be wrong but I have gathered these things whilst playing, and watching Skeppy and zelk.

He invests money into the server, as well as from the revenue from buycraft. Also, that's the reason he hires managers. Skeppy doesn't have time to balance youtube and his server all at once.

well, I am a long time member on this server. Some call it OG. I forgot how I found this server unfortunately:rolleyes:.

Anyhow, Skeppy defiantly is not a best owner. Compared to many other servers, Skeppy does not do much for the server rather than to troll. Obviously, without him, there wouldn’t be Invadedlands and couldn’t have been this famous. But that does not mean he is a great owner. Usually, people log on to a server, let’s say... Hypixel to play Bedwars, Skywars, Skyblock etc. and enjoy the server. But decent amount of people in Invaded is here to get trolled or go on YT. This is a clear sign that the server is not getting managed well. Well, there are players here to enjoy the game obviously, no doubt. But seeing him no where on forum makes me sad. Is he actually a great owner? I don’t think so...


BUT

I still like how he is. He is a mascot for invaded and it helps the server quite a lot. He is a great YouTuber and is funny at last. To conclude this, from outside we see, he is not the best owner caring about the server as much, but as we don’t know anything pretty much, I would say... he IS a great owner. I hope he hops on to forum and talk to us :sneaky:

2. My opinion:
I think he honestly doesn’t do much for his community, this is just a base for his videos and career. He is good at advertising his server with his videos which is definitely a positive thing but whenever he is on he just starts an event and once it ends he leaves and moves on to either editing or other things in his personal life. Although I don’t truly know how busy he is, I still feel like he could spend an extra 10 minutes just going through forums or discord or on the server helping around and dealing with appeals and things like that. He made Manager and Developer staff ranks for a reason, but I do believe that he could contribute a little here and there himself. Right or wrong - this is my take on it
