"but the government's like 'let's open everything back up'" Here in Italy, there are around and sometimes even below 200 daily cases; the economy here has been severely damaged, even worse than other areas, with tons of local businesses relying on customers and tourism now risking to die. My region, the richest region in Italy, was the worst hit, and this helped the crisis get worse. The government had to reopen, now that the cases are near zero. My region still averages around 60-65% of the total daily increment of Covid-19 cases, but the pandemic is dying down, and it's urgent to reopen now that businesses have had time to adapt to the new situation. Another problem has surfaced in my region these days: the heavy rains have caused massive issues all across the region, today in my city the river's sluice gates were completely open, and they're usually never open completely. Many areas have been flooded, which means shops have lost stock, have been damaged, and more issues. There is simply no way Italy could stay closed, or close Lombardy.
"coronavirus cases spike as government reopens the country" We have not had that problem, the downward trend continued throughout phase 2, so it's your fault America lol. My city had 270 cases and the streets were deserted until quite recently.
"we should not reopen the country" dunno how America is right now, but I've explained why Italy couldn't do that and that it still managed to not have any spike.
"more people are gonna die, but hey, MONEY" here the foundations of the economy rely on shops and structures for tourism and similar, and had the country not reopened, those businesses would've died. They already suffered a lot, and that's why Italy received more money than any other country in the EU from the EU to help fix the damage.

So anyway you can see how the points you made in this video do not apply at all to Italy, dunno about USA but the people there are legit dumb lol. To leave on a happy note, here are some angry Italian mayors from earlier on (march or something) asking people to stay home.
Fav line by a mayor is "We'll send the police, and we'll send them with flamethrowers" or "I'll catch you one by one and kick your ass: that's the only way to enforce the rules"

TL;DR the points the video talks about don't apply to Italy because Italy had to reopen due to the economy collapsing completely, particularly considering my region is still dying not only for the new cases (60-65% of Italy's total new daily cases) but also from the huge storms that are causing rivers to overflow and destroy stuff. Also, even if Italy reopened, there were no case spikes. Also watch the vids they're funny

I watched you people's daily new cases, 40000 in one day??? What the muffin are you guys even doing, you have like 300 million people, that's 5 times Italy's population, and the absolute one time maximum daily new cases were 6000 which is 30000 if multiplied by 5, and you have under half of our population density too
oh ok that makes more sense thank you sistem

By the way, fun fact, "corona" means "crown" in Italian (and Latin) and that's why the virus is named "coronavirus" because it's in the shape of a crown. So basically translated it'd be the Crownvirus
