3 people did what is essentially the same thing, only 2 got punished?

so as some of you probably know, @DDRNSTPMGMX and i got temp banned for making a lava cast around Acruse's base (as Acruse so happily boasted in a previous thread). when i was talking about it to the senior mod who banned me, i insisted that it was impossible for it to have gotten inside their claim. the senior mod ended up just saying "You basically disallowed them from doing anything further with their claim.", and that Acruse unclaimed and moved because of it. to that i pointed out @NinetyPercent had, three times now, done things that disallowed us from doing anything further with our claim - by making small claims around the perimeter of our claims. i couldnt get on survival obviously, so i passed the senior mod onto a friend who offered not one, but two senior mods who were there (@e_ic @LukeLovesCandy) firsthand proof, as in took them to the claim and the old places and showed them the claims made maliciously by NinetyPercent for the purpose of not letting us expand. i remind you, he has done this to us three times now. as far as i know, as of right now has not been punished, so i just wanna ask anyone who's read this far, is it fair that three people have done what is essentially the same thing, but only two have been punished? if DDRNSTPMGMX and i can get banned for "basically disallowing them to do anything further with their claim", should making small claims around someone's base for the purpose of them not being able to expand, also known as "basically disallowing them to do anything further with their claim" be punishable too, seeing as they are essentially the same thing but in different forms? idk i just wanna know what y'all think about it because it kinda doesnt seem fair to me.

also, @NinetyPercent, sir, i have no idea why you're so obsessed with our base, but this is super petty so please grow tf up, be an adult and stop, thank you.

Thanks for reading this please let me know what you think; is this fair or should NinetyPercent be punished as well? i personally feel this is unfair, but maybe it is and i just cant see that. idk. anyway bye.
 
I don't play survival but know some of the rules and claiming right next to someone without their permission with the intention to ruin your base is messed up and should get punished. I could see if they wanted to town with y'all but blowing up the spot they claimed right next your claims is unfair.

i understand what you mean, but this guy didnt want to town lol he made multiple small claims right next to 3 of our bases for the purpose of us not being able to expand overtop of his claims, or do anything further with our claim.

I do understand why you griefed this idiot.
 
ngl @e_ic I have to side with Roxas on this one.
  • Griefing is allowed for unclaimed land. However, griefing methods that bypasses the claim system such as tree grief, lava and water grief or any methods that bypasses the restriction is not allowed
This rule clearly mentions that these players were allowed to grief the unclaimed land, no matter if it was stopping the players affected by it from making more progress.
At the end it's Acruse's problem and he could've dealt with it by expanding his claim earlier.
If lava was the only thing that they've done then I don't even see that as such a huge problem, as it's very easily fixable and drainable.
I do think that these guys (Roxas and DDRN) were falsely banned, even though they made a selfish and immature move, and I do believe they should be unbanned and even somehow compensated.

Okay so here's what I want to add to this:

1. Considering that yes we did put the cobblestone wall around Acruse's base, we unclaimed the wall before we left so Acruse and his team can at least have a chance at breaking the wall down and expanding the claim, however since Ninety put up 4 small claims around our base claim, it is Impossible to overlap that claim so we couldn't have expanded our claim.

2. As for the wall itself, it is impossible to go into Acruse's claim with water and lava casts. I can understand a tree grief but there were no trees that we planted, so how come me and RoxasFA got banned for claim griefing when the cobblestone wall that was Unclaimed and wasnt in Acruse's claim when Ninety can stalk us for our base to maliciously put claims around our base to stop us from moving entirely and to just relocate multiple times he doesn't get at least punished.

3. I just can't understand why the mods would side with Ninety and Acruse considering that Ninety is well known for tping people into warp PVP, being toxic, and is just a bad person to society and Acruse is no different with himself literally flying the whole map to just find your base to just have people tp there for a "public blaze grinder" just to have a bunch of people swarm your base that you worked hard on. Meanwhile, me and timer (last survival season) were giving tours of our own base and giving tools and armor (sometimes some money) and giving people stuff they need some free books too.

Keep this in mind, I myself don't mind waiting 3 days to play survival again, that's not the problem, the problem is that if I get punished for "preventing someone from moving their current claim" even though the wall was completely unclaimed, then Ninety should be punished too because like RoxasFA said: "They are essentially the same thing but in different forms" but ours was unclaimed so Acruse could at least have a chance at breaking the wall down but Ninety's claims were intentionally made so we had to relocate in order to make another free claim. If I and RoxasFA deserved the ban, NinetyPercent should deserve a ban too.

This is ridiculous first of all lava casting isn't even bannable, second of all there's been multiple times when someone lava casts a town and claims it pretty much rendering the town dead, and the cherry on top is it was while a mod was watching. So for you to have been banned is 100% unfair.

You see, that's the problem that a lot of people are experiencing. I don't want to have to gamble on which mod I want to pick because depending on which mod I pick, it could depend on how the problem gets solved. What if I pick a mod that understands what's fair and what's not fair and sees why that person should be punished? What if I pick a mod that's best buddies with the person that you're reporting and you have a 0% chance of getting the problem solved? What if I pick a mod that is just clueless and has no idea what to do in certain situations? It's just a big mess and makes it harder to find a reliable source for help.
