Answer the poll! Do you think that Skyblock should have less or more players? Do you think that KitPvP should have less or more players? Answer above! ^
original post: https://invadedlands.net/threads/bye-lmao.45298/ I spent 3 hours making this forums post. Enjoy!
Hey, this servers as an introduction as well, for those who don't know me:
Some people know me as "Insta2" or "Transportations" (og's mainly) or 8768" and maybe even "pceclown" when I had access to that account for a bit. But what I'm saying now is here to stay. The latest forums post I made was the first one, and I don't feel like anyone really got anything from it, as in an explanation as to why I was
truly leaving InvadedLands, not for good, until the server is less stale, and this could be for good, not a joke or shade thrown with that statement. I'd leak more of my alts but I've already been doxed/ddosed like 4 times combined so let's not waste our time.
Now's a good time to mention many other known people have been quitting, and fast... But I'll be talking about why I'm leaving, and a couple more things including my experience on InvadedLands from over 3 and a half years ago... (The server is 5 years old)
2016-2017:
When I first joined InvadedLands in the summer of June, 2016, I was probably greeted with something like Skeppy trolling someone. but was very young and I had no idea what was going on. Back in 2016, there were many different things, one of them being Skeppy actually playing on his own server he owned for 5 years (5 years and 1 month) and this was the 3rd map of the server, but only real ones remember the multi-biome map with a cross of 4 biomes combined. Here is a video of Skeppy being on that map:
I remember it being FAR different. My knowledge of PvP (not skill, we all know how bad I am at PvP) was far different and I remember seeing soup and thinking to myself, with my 1+ year experience of Minecraft "eating soup doesn't restore health, or does it on here?" and finding out the hard way that it does (I'm assuming that's how that went, it's been 4 years and I got a new PC and my idiotic brain didn't save any screenshots to a flash drive for memory's sake, but moving on...) I didn't play Invaded much. I'd hop on it after taking a break from VCPrison, another server that was my favorite in my childhood. (I AM NOT ADVERTISING IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, VCPRISON IS NO LONGER A MINECRAFT SERVER ANYWAY) But I did start playing it much more when it WASN'T soup, when it was... Golden Apple spamming, and you might think to yourself "oh you mean
crapple or are you just saying it like that?" and to that I can say: Yes and no. There was no God Apple cooldown, but for "crapples" you didn't spam them as much as you do now. It was far different. Nobody could do a triple bow boost, on rare occasions, a double would occur. Even funnier, nobody used harming potions back then, which shocks me as they are crucial to carry now when you PvP... Less people went down with Sharp 3 Prot 1 or sometimes Prot 2 as it is now, I personally logged on around every week and typed "/kit lord" *organizes inventory* "/kit pro" *organizes inventory* "/kit mvp" *organizes inventory* "/kit vip" *organizes inventory* "/kit daily" *organizes inventory* "/kit elite" *organizes inventory* "/kit archer" *organizes inventory* it went something like that. Back then /kit archer had a god apple, /kit default didn't exist, and on top of that, only a month ago was /kit elite's removal, in the start of this map it was gone... Starting from Map #3 to end off on Map #6 or Map #2 for others who started EARLIER in 2016.
2018:
In 2018 on I probably spent most of my free time on Minecraft, and most of that time on InvadedLands. Overlord rank got added this year, and there were Maps #7 and Map #8 (it is currently Map #11 of many to come, hopefully) This year had a lot of dupe glitches, the most simple being a dispenser placed at your /pw, which was another added feature (back then it was "/warp [playername]" and Skeppy or an administrator like Zelk or Mega (no Neon or any other admins back then at the time) and there were some good maps, one with a ravine that was a big map, but not nearly as big as the maps of the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 (snowy and jungle maps) and no, I'm talking about physical built maps, not 6-month seasons. Usually they were 6 months but this map (#11) was delayed apparently for some reason. Anyway, back to the year we're "in" being 2018.
https://gyazo.com/ef4d5f41b32cb1bba7fa117eeafbf2a5 Looking at Skeppy's statistics, he had not quite "blown up" yet, but Invaded sure did... It gained a lot more people. Back then I also forgot to mention that there was Factions, Soup (there is soup now, newly added, very cool) and Skyblock was also added in 2018. Now since 2018 is more interesting, it's less about me talking about my PERSONAL experience, as there is much more to talk about, compared to 2016 and 2017, that being why I grouped them as two separate years... But more as a personal realization, I noticed that Skeppy logging on and doing stuff was increasing, and in the end of 2018, that decreased a slight amount. But here is a video from Skeppy where he gives people $1,000 if they complete his challenge, also on Invaded.
But what's different? He's not trolling people, to an extent, as he did previous. So in 2018 on Invaded, what we have as of yet, the owner started focusing less on his own server for content. By the time we get to 2020, you'll be shocked at what Skeppy did to make his content either "worse" or "more kid-friendly" and both of those suite my opinion. Most Minecraft YouTubers are kid-friendly, speaking of the big ones, TBNRFrags being a good example. 2018 also introduced Zelkam, the admin or manager's channel. He had a couple thousand subscribers from a few videos he did on Invaded because that's what his friend, Zak (Skeppy) was doing so he went along with him. It's likely Zelkam repeats the cycle of what Skeppy did, and that is doing enough Invaded content to switch over to being like another Minecraft Mr. Beast and giving people money for challenges or things on Minecraft, which I think he's done before, in smaller quantities. Zelkam started at 3k in the end of 2018 (something like that) and over 1 year, 7 months later, he is at 183k (at the time of uploading this forums post he is at 183k, which is a large growth) Zelkam's current growth is slow and steady, unlike Skeppy who had a small jump in growth, months passed, and then a big jump, and he's at 3.1m at the time of creating this forums post, which is a lot...
2019:
In 2019 I'm going to talk about the first thing they did for KitPvP that changed a ton right now: Sharpness 5 swords were "removed" and that shocked people until they realized that they were now obtainable from Event keys. Making somebody think that the server was less pay-to-win. In 2018 they added special keys and reclaims, which I'm mentioning now, under the 2019 category, for a reason. With those added. the server was more pay-to-win, so it wasn't much different. Plus, those special keys could lead to a cycle, something like this: 1. You win the permission to host the Waterdrop event. 2. You host it daily and master Waterdrop itself. 3. Winning
most games you play, you win a ton of Event Keys which slowly leads to a large amount of Sharpness 5's. If someone had a Sharpness 5 they'd sell it for 1.5x the price they could sell a Sharpness 4 (both being full durability, neither with knockback, and the Sharpness 4 not being added with an additional Unbreaking 2, just being aware, a Sharpness 5 was a fully maxed vanilla sword with Unbreaking 3 and Fire Aspect 2 and the Sharpness 4 had Unbreaking 1 that you could enchant with Unbreaking 2, not 3, you could in earlier times enchant it with Unbreaking 3 along with other things, but... yeah.) In 2019 the first map we remember looked nice, this was the map of 2019 that had Sharp 5's being the only "OP sword" or the only sword with fire aspect enchantment, rather. A fine map it was, yet another thing to note: a castle it had, like many other maps prior to this one... In the secondary map of 2019, Skeppy recorded videos on the server a bit less than the end of 2018, and a bit less in the beginning of 2019 and throughout it, like I just said. In 2020 is when it REALLY declined for InvadedLands content. Also, a slight disclaimer, I'm talking about him being on KitPvP mainly, not bringing up skyblock/survival/factions/etc. here anyway, but I won't include the event servers especially, before he recently started using the server "PvPLands" for his money events, which allowed his channel to skyrocket, again. Speaking of "skyrocket,
again" I am mentioning now that he blew up as well in 2019, a big channel growth, but not as big as the one in 2020, where he gives $$$ to people who complete challenges, only to make it back, actually no, only to make EVEN MORE BACK, in the next video... An investment, perhaps, and a successful one in my opinion. But now we can conclude 2020 to say: The first downfall of Invaded, and I will end off with 2019 by saying the beginning of the 10th map, the one we just left for the new map, and I'm here to say this: The beginning of this map was the beginning of the end...
2020:
This dupe was hell. You could open your ender chest whilst in creative at a player warp for a small amount of time, another map ruined. Here's where my words are a slight more... aggressive... The braindead Skeppy fanboys still bought keys, not knowing of the dupe, and another reset couldn't be initiated because of the Invaded keys people bought, which is bad on them. Now, this map (skipping in the timeline a bit) has 8 minute strengths, which are glitched, so not as bad because it's obvious having those on you... It's a screenshot and a forums report to handle that. Now, since 2020 isn't DONE yet, let's focus on the beginning and try to end it with as much as we can! In the beginning, the snow map changed to the same map, but in a Jungle form, giving the builders less of a hassle. Now in this map, Skeppy went on the server a bit, and now he barely goes on it, and if he does, maybe on another YouTube channel to keep most of his more money-making content on his main channel. For example, his 10th most viewed video is on HIS server, unlike others. (unfortunately, not even on KitPvP. wow. lame...) Now, earlier I mentioned a $1,000 minecraft prize video that Skeppy did in 2018 or early 2019. But that was once and people assumed it wouldn't happen again, but in March it did. He did the "Last to stop Jumping" challenge and here is where we're gonna focus on the events and not so much the server itself. There was an event-server on Invaded, before PvPLands was a thing. For the first few months, Skeppy gave away a ton of money, and made back even more. He then opened up another server where he made money from the other gamemodes on that server (a similar KitPvP included) and then made that server the primary event server. The money given in his videos sometimes were with his friends, and his friends being like BadBoyHalo or Zelkam, who I mentioned earlier. Skeppy also made BadBoyHalo famous (not in an insulting way I am saying this, a good creator got recognized thanks to another source, it's happened before, it's not like Skeppy made him...) But you may be wondering, as content was less stale than it was now in Map #10 compared to #11, why am I not talking about KitPvP? That being that there isn't much to talk about KitPvP. But one thing exciting they added was duels to this map of KitPvP. Nobody thought there would be a dupe, but we all knew that there'd be some major bug. Myself included, who assumed /duels would cause it. Guess what happened? 8 minute strengths because of specific duel maps... Despite this one being painfully obvious as stated before, getting caught was much easier from a player point of view. Assuming that when you get strengthed on while being in Sharp 3 Prot 1 you have 3 assumptions: 1. That player is a duper! 2. That player hates me... 3. That player doesn't know what they're doing... But now we can add 4. That player used an exploit with the /duels feature to acquire strength potions that last an additional 5 minutes which is a broken exploit that shouldn't have happened like the last 5 dupe glitches there was throughout the maps, all 11 of them, despite the first few not being as crucial as these last few, last few as in the last few I'm gonna be playing because the content of this map and the last few were so stale I'd rather eat an expired bag of Doritos's chips that will give me 5-7 diseases minimum. Also 4. is exaggerated, please calm down. But what isn't exaggerated? The fact that I am done with Invaded until the content is no longer stale... And of course, it being stale is my opinion, and guess what? You also have your opinion. But until my opinion changes about the server, I'll be sticking to doing other things with my life.
But more importantly... Why did I quit?
1. The server itself.
Boring
Stale
Repetitive...
I can't imagine a good KitPvP server without thinking of InvadedLands. But these little things annoy me...
#1 Removing /kit elite (literally no reason why)
#2 Making /f a thing in the first place.
#3 VIP is the biggest waste of money, you're better off buying 10 keys.
#4 Invaded Keys having "300 Golden Apples" or "1x God Bow" or "1x Potato" or "1x Diamond Hoe"
#5 Vote Keys having 2 sets of unenchanted diamond armor that nobody ever wanted...
#6 Kit VIP is worse than Kit Daily and Default in every aspect... (Cooldown is the same, loot is worse)
#7 The judgement day of staff members. Why...
#8 The inactivity of staff members...
#9 The fact that Skeppy fanboys have crashed or lagged the server before just by waiting at spawn for their daddy lord Skeppy to come from the sky and suck their toes and give them a singular Invaded Key for a YouTube video that'll get 1/5th of the normal views he gets from giving $1,000 away in a video which he makes so much money from the server and his videos combined so 1 Invaded Key doesn't do anything to the economy...
#10 The fact that you can spam /pay someone under $100 dollars... If someone's going to /msg spam you, there should be a minimum so the person getting spammed in chat gets something out of it other than being annoyed.
#11 The fact that Lord has half the player-vaults of God...
#12 The fact that ranked players now have slightly less player-vault amounts...
#13 The fact that every map there is something majorly wrong that they don't reset it for. (e.g a 6 min strength)
#14 There is no good VPN blocker. Why have one in the first place? To stop people with a free VPN that has 6 servers that wouldn't even bypass on a server without a VPN blocker?
#15 Seasonal keys are a big rip-off, this excludes the people who want to spend $300 to get every color chat to annoy people with epilepsy.
#16 /clan was never added
@swervah @Wherry @BabyKrypto understand the pain... (legends btw)
#17 The fact that you can /nick yourself as a bad player, duel someone, and they think it's that bad player and they accept. It should show the true name for the duels plugin...
I can go on, but I don't care, there's much more pet peeves or inconveniences but yeah.
But even more importantly, we know that other people quit ONLY because of the server, but did you?
2. I did put that 1. indicated that there was more to put here... Considering 1. means there will be 2. or even beyond that...
I'll probably just watch YouTube for the rest of my life, until school comes back. Speaking of school, I won't be able to play at all or just barely even if the server is more enjoyable when I get to go back to school after Summer (probably online school, which is worse unfortunately...)
Just real life stuff, I can't really get into all of the details of the personal problems in my life, but as every emo 14 year old says when they gamble $3 worth of CS:GO knives and make back $2.44 worth of knives "If you know, you know, true homies!!" But seriously, some know what's going on in my life personally, other's don't. If you want to know, don't, just worry about yourself

This whole thing was more of a personal experience and a 3rd person point of view experience for those who read the whole thing.
I'd mention my friends from this server but there's too many! <3
You know who you all are. You're all huge legends.
If you joined in 2016, 2017, 2018, let's be real, we all miss the old Invaded... At least some aspects of it, and so many OG's like me have quit and I guess I gotta be one of them, not as if it's conformity, as if it's me making my own personal decision, because of the staleness within the server, but not so much the community. Really good community, even the toxic parts of the community made PvPing more fun. <3
