not true? there was packed ice in 1.8
By that I meant pack ice through crafting which I now changed the post to reflect
i'm kinda confused on what you are saying, but probably because there would be an exploit is what i'm guessing
Im saying the packed ice crafting recipe wasn't added until 1.13
