Staff IS going to take action, I contacted a mod and they said they are. You'll probably get wiped and blacklisted.
What you guys have done is extremely unfair. You guys took advantage of dupers and called it a day. I'm not letting go of this situation this is serious. And yet you guys dont feel ANY shame? Disgusting, you should be blacklisted just like Marioxo, LilPump and supernatural salt.

To be honest both are technically right as it can very much depend upon ones interpretation of the context and grammatical rules within the English language.
Personally I would also have used "are" and I know this would be the option chosen in a professional/ formal format. When speaking of multiple people (the staff team is made up of multiple people) then "are" is the most commonly used term whereas if you had said the name of a specific member of staff you could have said he/she "is" looking into it.
