Why chargebacks need to be handled better.

Alright, this is something that has been hovering in my mind for a while. For WEEKS, even. It's about chargebacks, and how insanely abusive they are. So, I know two previously very active members of Invaded Survival, whose IGNs are milenana and anarchy_phonix. They had gotten rankups from IRL deals, but their IRL dealer did a chargeback a long time afterwards. Milenana was blacklisted on July the 8th, 2020, exactly one month ago. I'm not even sure about anarchy_phonix. Does it really take this long to handle a chargeback ban appeal? Milenana's appeal was marked as Escalated on July 9th, and never touched since. Even after making a second appeal, nothing. Guys, chargebacks are ridiculously abusive. See someone you hate? Buy them something and charge it back! It gives them a ban tantamount to a hacking-based ban! It's incredibly counter-intuitive. Even if the person who did the chargeback eventually gets caught, 1 month is insane. It would most likely more. I knew milenana personally, and she was pretty crushed about the ban. She didn't know about /tebexprotection because there is nothing in-game that tells players about it, besides players. The way I see it, you guys either need to get your act together with the chargeback appeals, or add some sort of message on an interval that tells people about /tebexprotection. Among the many glaring problems with Invaded, I'd say this is one of the biggest. Please, fix it. And please, take care of milenana's and anarchy_phonix's ban appeals; God knows how many people like them are stuck in the same limbo.

Even then, some people don't know better. Many don't know /tebexprotection, or that chargebacks can result in bans. This info only resides in the store. So even if the appeal time is unfixable, they at least need to stress /tebexprotection and give more info to new players about chargebacks. Hell, I didn't know chargebacks = blacklist until after milenana was banned. That says something.

That is just ignorant.
it is literally the first rule in the first thread under "Important Information"
anyone who plays a server shouldat LEAST read the rules.

You're missing the point of my argument. I'm saying /tebexprotection and chargeback info should be more directly available for players to see in-game. There are going to be people who will never check forums, and thus never see the rules. I only started using forums 2 weeks ago, I've never seen milenana use it.

I think that there should be a system for IRL deals where both players put their ign, the one who pays in a certain place and the one who gives the ign items. I am too tired to give my reasons. Hopefully you're smart enough to figure it out yourself. I think it would help though.

In what way is that ignorant? He’s right, information like that should be front and centre considering lots of people who play the server (specially for the first time) aren’t going to be logging onto the forums! It took me SEVEN months to get onto the forums, and i’m assuming you were playing Invaded for a while before you found your way to the forums as well.

Invaded is a business. Tell me what business hides their safety protocols in a completely separate building you can only access by asking a specific staff member (in this example the specific staff member is the command you need to run, which only works in hub by the way)?

If information as critical as that is not put in a more easily accessible medium, it’s not ignorant to assume that players will miss it, it’s ignorant to assume that nobody could/should miss it.

Edit: Chargebacking is a serious problem here, the amount of people I talk to that cannot play invaded presently or in the past because of a charge back issue is more than i would’ve thought before becoming a part of this community. I would agree they need to be dealt with, but so does every appeal that exists at the moment. Unfortunately for now it’s just being patient but hopefully that can change.

I do agree with the premise that /tebexprotection should be more front and centre (specially for the new players). If they can send a forums message about griefing in the chat, they can send one about Tebex protection. It’s information that will help new players protect themselves, and most likely decrease the amount of future chargebacks (which will help management by not adding even more appeals onto what they already have). It’s a simple win-win.

Is it activated just by doing this command? If yes then cant it just be activated whenever someone joins, automatticaly I now lots of plugijs that can make you run commands when you join and it wont be that hard either, for the IL team to maks it

If you do /tebexprotection and set it to disallowed, no one can ever purchase anything to your account.

Maybe this could be automatically set and when you go on the store it will tell how to disable it. Then after you purchase something it could be auto enabled again
Should we put it in suggestions?
