Why mods should be paid instead of managers

Builders get paid...
I don’t think anyone should really be paid apart from builders and developer possibly managers because then it’s easy to just do it for money and not for the server. Linehead (ex helper on hypixel) talked about it before

I would guess the devs and builders coded at least most if not everything on the server but ok. Also, while I don't think the mods should get paid (since it is a volunteer job like a lot of people said) , I feel that it should be known that managers do nowheres near as much as mods in a lot of cases, I agree on that front with Cube.

thisI have spent over $200 on the invaded lands network and not once has a manager helped me in any sort of way. After months of experience on this server, I came to realize how unhelpful managers have been in claim griefs, payment issues, and blacklist appeals.
Why should we be giving money to people who disregard their customers troubles?
This is a business run by careless, money reaping, power hungry individuals with no respect for their customers.
I am unable to play on a server in which I payed over $200 for because the person I gave my money to won't read an appeal. If Moderators (who arent even getting payed) have the time to read and escalate a blacklist appeal, then why cant someone who is getting payed take action? oh I forgot, they are busy reaping the rewards of their victimized customers

While being paid for being a staff member and working hard would feel rewarding, it's not the best idea. The whole idea of staffing is to volunteer yourself to help others in the community. If management starts to pay mods, then people will simply apply because they would get paid; not because they want to help others, which will potentially drop the quality of trainees and candidates they'd get. I do believe some high ranked staff such as admins being paid won't be a bad idea due to what they do (Judging from the information I know back when I was an admin), but that is not my place to say anything as I am a former admin and I have no opinions on it, nor would I demand money for the work I did as I applied and worked simply to volunteer myself for the betterment of the community.
about builders- they should be paid aswell too. they build the whole map and next thing you know skeppy gives owner to a guy called doomiemoomie6969. managers are the ones who coded everything. you wouldn’t have tp toggle. you wouldn’t have had trade. you wouldn’t berm have ranks? so the mods are more active because they are helping the community while managers are helping aswell. i think it’s fair like this

If I owned a money making server I wouldn't pay mods because they do the "job" for reasons other than the money.
Mods become mods for a mixture of reasons but I personally believe it is either for the attention and "fame" of being moderator or to help other players. Others may have other reasons but they are what I believe are the two main reasons.
Therefore by volunteering their time being a moderator that is how they are "paid" - in "fame" and the fulfilling their own wish to help others.
Do I think Managers should do more RE: BL Appeals? Yes
Players and staff both do and I'm hoping with the additional of the new manager this is something that will improve.
We've been waiting for too long for our blacklist appeals to be seen, we know they'll be accepted but it's just a case of us having to wait for a period of time that is frankly unacceptable. I know staff are aware of the delays being an issue and it's something that I really hope they can manage to sort out so others don't end up in our position in the future.
Should Cubeshifter spending $200 on the server speed up his appeal? It's not that simple
The issue isn't a case of spending X amount of money should speed up the appeal or allow us to jump the queue.
Me, Cube, ZLKN and their girlfriends have spent a substantial amount of money on the server. If I owned a server and somebody was putting in the money that us 3 have then I'd want them back on the server ASAP! Not only is it a case of deserving having our issue resolved because of the time and money spent on the server it's also the fact that the server is losing any potential future revenues it could have earned from us - I for one will be reluctant to purchase anything else from invaded after this.
Tldr:
Cube, like myself, is angry how we are still blacklisted after nearly 2 weeks. Whilst the time and money we have spent on the server doesn't give us the right to be unbanned quicker, it sure as hell means that we shouldn't be expected to have to wait weeks without knowing when our case is going to be dealt with.
