my friend has an android and its better than my iPhone, because it can call even without signal. after walking in the rain lost with no signal to call my dad to find me for an hour i used my friends phone who also didn't have signal but could still text & call... ;-;
Honestly I find Android (as an OS, I'm not talking about the hardware) much better for me than iOS: it's very customizable and open, and there are also lots of custom Android based ROMs (even made by companies like Xiaomi or OnePlus, in the cases of MIUI and OxygenOS). I use a custom ROM and it's given new life to my device: it's now decently fast, has face recognition, looks cooler, and I can customize a ton of stuff. iOS is just so locked, and not as customizable. Plus, no all apps list is awful, idk what I'd do without being able to pull up and access all my apps.
+1 and rip cyanogen mod. I can't root my phone cause it's locked at the chipset !!
You don't need to root your phone, you just need to unlock the bootloader, I'm pretty sure pretty much any android phone can do that. CyanogenMOD has become LineageOS, a very well known custom ROM, but I use Havoc, that I find much better than Lineage or PixelExperience
I meant they locked the bootloader. It's a cheap phone anyway. I wanted to use lineage but I hard bricked my tablet trying to install it.
