So. For anyone that I’m friends with on discord, you know that my parents wanted me to unadd everyone I had added (I wasn’t allowed and still arnt allowed to talk to strangers). I made an alt account to readd everyone secretly.. when I tried to log onto the account this morning I was given the (your account has been logged in from a new location please check your email)... I checked my email, and was unfortunately presented with a screen saying that someone from Virginia decided to try and hack my account, which resulted in it getting terminated. The email that I use for that account is very secret and contains my real name, so this frightened me. I have no idea who this person is, or how they got my information, but all I know is that they got this info somewhere and it makes me worried that my information might be being sold in a bad place.. I panicked and deleted the email, because I knew if my parents saw this they would yell at me about this person knowing my secret email. I don’t know if they even got in or not, but I’m pretty sure they did. The account had an extremely strong password and I have no idea how this person managed to get in. I’m very scared now, and I thank god that I have 2fa on my current account. A few people I want to mention so that they know @cabbage @Pinevole @KarimNahas @Etshaw

please stay safe, and don’t let your accounts get hacked.

edit: I’m starting to fear that this was a website breach for this website, because the only other place I use that email for Is my forums account

edit 2: so... my vpn changes my ip every month.. so frikin discord thought I was trying to hack myself gg
False alarmmmmm I’ll just confirm in the email that it was me and I’ll have my account back yay

They were able to guess my extremely strong password, that password contains things about me that only I would know...

I do have a vpn, but I was switching my vpn, and a few minutes after I finished changing it ( I didn’t have a vpn because I was switching) I got the email. So this person may have set up a constant running machine that was trying to hack lots of people at once waiting for a breach, and I just happened to be one of the people. I do have the persons ip, and I could very well ddos or dox them if I pleased, but I’m not going to. I don’t have any enemies:/
