What are domains for math I didn't pay attention for like 2 zoom meetings and now I have no idea what they are...

domains are the possible x values and function range and also possible y values here's a example i made for you the domain of f(x)=x² is all real numbers, and the domain of g(x)=1/x is all real numbers except for x=0. We can also define special functions whose domains are more limited and idk if this helps but i wish you the best.

Domain is the possible x values of the function, and range is the possible y values. Typically the domain is all real numbers unless the graph has a visible end point.
the domain is like all the numbers that could be the INPUT of a function, so like y=2x the domain would be any number that could be y

OH wait so is it like the type of numbers that can fit a function? so like for the example f(x)-x^2 its all real numbers, and the g(x)=1/x, g(0) is not a real number as it would be 1 / 0. So its basically where the number fits in like real, irrational, and imaginary?
