its just mega overkill for a 2080, might as well go 1440 since it looks 20x better and theres barely a performance differencewhat’s wrong with 1080p

remove th gaming signYeah it’s pretty bad wbu urs?
It's such a low resolution for the 2080ti. A graphics card really only needs to hit 144 fps on a resolution, after that gains are extremely minimal. There's no point in getting a 265hz monitor at 1080p mainly because the brain can't even see the difference between 144hz vs 265hz it's mostly marketing. You really bottlenecked your graphics card here. If just wanted to play at 1080p you could have perfectly done it at 144hz with a 2060 super.what’s wrong with 1080p

1080p isnt a low resolution, its still standard for monitors, its really just a preference on whether you want to upgrade to 1440p or not. also saying he bottlenecked his graphics card is kinda funny cuz hes getting a lot more performance playing on 1080 then a 1440 or 4k monitor, just cause its a higher end card doesnt mean that you HAVE to run a higher res. also i do agree with the difference between 144hz and 265hz being practically the same but the brain can actually see a difference, its not a major change but it definitely is noticeable if you play 144hz and switch to 265hz. whats not a change is 360hz monitors though, its definitely a wasteIt's such a low resolution for the 2080ti. I'm not saying 1080p is a low resolution at all, I use 1080p however all that extra performance is absolutely useless. There is really no point in having such a good a graphics card at such a resolution. When something like a 2060 super could have given you the same performance. YOU can do it but it is a waste of money. There are no gains at all from using a 2060 super a 400$ graphics card with a 1,200$ graphics card running 1080p 144hz. I just don't know why anyone would do that. The 2080ti was made to handle 4k gaming I can't fathom how much performance is left on the table. I mean why spend 1,200$ dollars when you could have the same experience with 800$ less... The 2080ti could get 244 fps and above at 1440p1080p isnt a low resolution, its still standard for monitors, its really just a preference on whether you want to upgrade to 1440p or not. also saying he bottlenecked his graphics card is kinda funny cuz hes getting a lot more performance playing on 1080 then a 1440 or 4k monitor, just cause its a higher end card doesnt mean that you HAVE to run a higher res. also i do agree with the difference between 144hz and 265hz being practically the same but the brain can actually see a difference, its not a major change but it definitely is noticeable if you play 144hz and switch to 265hz. whats not a change is 360hz monitors though, its definitely a waste
