This is the storyFirst @MrChickenSon promised me 50k in exchange for mvp upgrade and i said yes. After that, i paid and he started to ignore me and at that point I was starting to feel sad, so i said in chat @MrChickenSon scammed me 50k. This other dude @Gauzy_ said that he would buy cause he felt bad. I said thank you. He then said that I had to pay 60k to get it. Since he had rank, I thought I could trust him. I then paid and he blocked me from discord

There is plenty things more about this deal. If you would not like to get scammed again, here’s some advice.
1. Never do the in game trade first, in game scam is unbannable which is dumb, but it is the rule. I recommend you record or msg staff members when you are doing trades for any issues.
2. Having a rank doesn’t necessarily make them not a scammer and being trusted. I’ve seen people that scams people with overlord rank. Try to do deals with people with ranks GOD or OVERLORD. Try asking players online, you can simply ask players if the person have scammed in the past, and have second thoughts of doing irl deals with players that has never done it before.
3. When people do irl deals, they want it to be worth it. 50k for upgrade to mvp isn’t close to being worth it. You should pay a minimum of 300k for vip at least. If you see players asking for deals in chat, look and see what they are offering for rank upgrades, because if someone will do a rank upgrade for only 50k, it’s most likely a scam.

Last, if you don’t have much experience with doing irl deals, staff and players can always help. I know when a player accept an irl deal you would be excitied and wanting to get the item ASAP, but always make sure u don’t get scammed.

I’m sorry you got scammed. I will clarify some things for you so you can move forward with some success.

First off, while Invaded itself does not endorse any IRL deals, you can always ask a Moderator to mediate your deal. It’s up to them wether or not they would be willing, but for any future reference I would be happy to help yourself, or anyone else.

Secondly, off the top of my head I can think of many reasons why in-game item scamming is not punishable. They range from being impossible/very difficult to verify to volume of reports made to investigate said impossible-to-verify claims.

Finally, moving forward I would advise you not to do IRL deals with anyone unless two conditions are met.

• The person paying IRL goes first. This is done to lower the chance of a scam actually happening, as if you scammed out of IRL money, you can make a report and the scammer will be punished. Severely.
• Do not do any IRL deals with people you do not previously know/do not trust. This is done to reduce the chances of a chargeback, and general scams that will inconvenience you.
