its because a year of 2020 was bad and everyone wanted to make that year unexist
Covid started in 2019 and will continue in 2021, WW3 didn't even happen, what else? There were two major train accidents in Italy I guess, then that's it. So basically the only thing that made 2020 really bad is the virus which started in 2019 and continues in 2021

The only way to change the 'bad year' is to make this year not a 'bad' one by being smart and not going to house parties. '2020' wasn't 'bad luck' it was just YOU (not necessarily, but more dramatic yk) making it bad. So I implore you, MAKE it good.
