Definitely is pay to win, well going to be honest, in most Minecraft server's they are pay to win. Kitpvp is probably the game mode that is mostly pay-to-win. If you have kit God or Overlord you pretty much have one of the highest chances to kill people and gives you the most overpowered set possible in Minecraft. When it comes to Skyblock the ranks aren't really relevant as they only give you blocks to increase your island level but it's still a little pay to win. But for Survival, I don't really play it so I don't have an opinion on whether it is pay-to-win or not.

idk about the other servers but kit isn't really p2w, you have random vip, mvp, pro, and lord ranks popping up out of nowhere chucking 4 instas at your 5head and missing them all and chug right away, and then you have physcos with their s3 stone swords who drop s4s so....

Skills is all u need. Dude a non can have p4 s4 strength but still can drop. And the armor doesn’t have infinite durability. It’s so dumb. Honestly I don’t even want to tell you how it’s not pay2win when it’s so obvious and someone else can say it
all server ranks on any network u go to has perks... every game that offers in game purchases for loot boxes/obtainable items gives perks... that does not necessarily mean p2w. it's the only way the server can sustainably stay afloat. if you really are interested in getting a rank, irl dealing is always an option. i went from nothing to pro rank on an alt from doing a weeks worth of irl deals. just gotta know what u are doing and be trusted in the comm.

i see where ur coming from, nons at some points can get the top gear for free, but its very time consuming. VERY time consuming

Well I usually say: If you don’t like the server, don’t play it. So if you don’t like it’s “pay2win”, then don’t play. And it isn’t pay2win. And getting loot really isn’t that difficult either. After 1 week, you can have like 16 gods and uh 12 p1 sets. Not sure I didn’t do the math

Even as I pro ive not gotten a single p4 set lmo. Lord is the rank that everyone seems to go for, but most players jump out p1 s3 punch 2 anyways.
it’s p2w because you can pay to get advantages, it doesn’t matter how easy it is to get irl deals, still p2w.
you get advantages yes, but that doesn't mean you automatically win with those advantages either. you have to actually be good at the game for one, and second like i said it is BEYOND easy to irl deal for ranks. i basically got overlord on my main for free, only rank i actually paid for was VIP, and my alt was purely irl dealing that only took me a week to get.
I've gotten a good amount of loot in KitPvP even though I'm a default rank.
