To make sure players on the IL Server has read all the rules can we put them in a separate world where we quiz the player on the rules if they get a decent score they can play on the server
this rule only applies to new players who join the server.

It's a intresting idea to say the least, i really don't think anybody would want to take a quiz based around the server rules. We have a page that explains all the server rules at your grasp. I feel your implying that people to know the rules of the network so they are familiar with the rules and can enforce them better. But then again it's the players responsibility to ensure they follow the network rules and not rely on them taking a quiz to do so.

I agree, while this suggestion has a good intention, it would not be fun lmao

I'd actually much prefer a little agreement when you first join invaded asking you if you agree to the rules of the server/saying breaking any of the rules results in a punishment, denying player's access to the servers until they agree. It would also kinda help against bots in a way too i guess

most players are aware of the rules and anyone who's worried about them will go and read them on their own. those who break them usually do it on purpose and don't care about them. I know the target audience for this suggestion is new players, but most punishments are still just people who are fully aware that they're breaking a rule and not new players making mistakes. I feel like a required quiz would deter people rather than educating them.

either way, all people who get punished are made aware of the reasoning for it in a message- that makes it easy to figure out what they did wrong. if they actually are a new player who's made a mistake, then they will probably try to learn about the rules if they're worried about being punished again. i think the biggest reoccurring offense that new players make (that's not on purpose) is spam. first mutes (it's more difficult to be banned on accident, so i'm only addressing mutes) are typically short and, again, give the reason. they're more of a warning than a punishment tbh and they open the opportunity for them to educate themselves

tl;dr if someone is worried about breaking rules, they'll probably look themselves. most people being punished are aware that they're breaking the rules and don't care. a required quiz would also probably cause new players to turn away. if i joined a server and saw that i had to take a quiz, i would straight-up leave

what if they fail? instaban? they might be like 8 and dont know the answer to "what do you do if skeppy comes in the server and eats a potatoe"
