Scamming is a huge business for skyblock. A couple months back, I made a thread on how to not get scammed, but that was mainly oriented towards Kit, as I did not mention anything about scam warps. Scamming is making a big impact this season, people have made millions in early season just from scamming, the most notable being Skweppy. Please, if you have a brain, don't do any deals with him, I was looking for IRL dealers and he literally tried to have me pay half first and then he would buy. He also has a scam warp, so I decided to go through every single one of his scamming contraptions and explain how they are all scams. Before we get started, I just want to show everyone a little bit about block hitboxes.

Signs and Banners have the same hitbox, even though banners appear to be 2 blocks high.

1615140600692.png
Both signs and banners appear to take up the full space, but they don't. Signs on blocks however do take up the entire space they appear to.
1615140619539.png
Since banners and signs placed on the floor do not take up the full hitbox, you hit the sign behind it. 1615140698440.png

Now that you have a brief understanding of hitboxes for signs and banners, let's get into the scam shop.

Buy sign inside a banner
1615142073931.png
Tells you to push a button, the hitbox of the sign covers it
1615142239584.png
Has a chest sign behind a sign
1615142273601.png
Sign behind lava
1615143007138.png
Puts you inside the hitbox of a sign, no matter where u click u click the sign
1615142416292.png

tl;dr: Please don't go to Skweppy's scam shop.

Don't forget the scientific notation scam common in cactus profit scams
eg:
[Insert name]
2304
B10E5
Cactus
Notice the "E" instead of a "3"

There is also another scam at Skweppy's warp, just be aware of it. It has a sign and a chest full of sticks to buy and another one to sell them in.
1615199248478.png
he wants you to buy sticks from the chest on the left, and sell them for a '3x profit' on the right.
1615199303019.png
I bought 2 oak wood and made some sticks, but if you bought them, and tried to sell, there isn't any space in the chest. There's no profit

I mean it's pretty obvious, but sometimes with things like these because there are lots of profit farms, you might believe it, and completely forget you can get sticks very cheaply off the shop, you could 'go' into this scam
1615199508082.png
same with this, I allowed myself to get scammed because the chest in the bottom right has B30ES instead of B3035. I'll make the money back but it's just an example, I don't care about the 200k he can have it. And one of the signs says that he hasn't arranged the hoppers correctly making you want to right click all the chests until you get to the 'false' one ending up in you losing all your bal.

Again, I don't mind losing the money, it's the beginning of the season and it wont work for long, it just shows what type of person someone is.

Be careful innit
