On survival, I’m sure many of us understand the annoying spam messages in chat, people telling you to teleport to them for one reason or another, or people scamming people out of claims, builds, spawners etc.
And while I’m aware it’s not a banable offence, I feel there should be suitable precautions put in place to either deter scammers and tp trappers or to warn newer members (who are more likely to be tricked), of the warning signs to scams- or even straight up naming an shaming people.
It’s common in chat for people to warn others of these, but some of the comments are conflicting- usually the scammer using an alt to encourage people to trade with them- giving them more reliability in the long run.
Along with this, the use of the “nickname” feature is often exploited to benefit the scammer- they may be well known, so choose to nickname themselves something else to throw people off. And while sometimes this can be detected, I’m sure there are many occasions where this has flown under the radar.
Once again though, I understand this isn’t banable- however it greatly impacts the players experience- negatively of course- many people losing all their money, builds or belongings to scammers/ tp trappers, so to punish this without ban, I feel should be an alternative route to reduce the number of people scamming, but to also optimise player experience.
