I don't think that there is a way to add people on Invaded Lands or through the forms but you could ask the person if they have discord or skype.

You can't directly add friends on the forums, but you can follow people, and also start conversations with them (click here to see conversations)
You can also get with people on discord and stuff

and how do I earn money and do pvp

For money:

1. Jobs (type /jobs browse
2. Sell things (type /shop
3. Trade others with /trade
4. There is probably others i forgot

For PVP:

I am pretty sure that PvP is off, but I don't play survival a ton, so maybe see what other people say​

To PvP, you'll have to go to the PvP zone, I think you can do /warp pvp, there's no way to add friends currently and as for earning money, I would look for blocks/items which sell for alot (you can check the prices with /shop) and sell those items which is a good way to start. In the future when you've earned enough it is worth it to buy spawners on your own claim as you can farm mobs and sell their drops.

also for friends, idk what it does really but theres a party command so maybe you can use that
