My advice for newer players applying for staff.

As with every season, I know a lot of newer players apply for staff, some just because they want to be in skeppy's videos and some because they genuinely want to help out.
I won't keep this to long but all I want to say is if your application is denied and you are determined you want to become staff on this server:

1.Don't become inactive on the server/forums until next season, the staff want to see who will be active all season round, not just when you have the opportunity to apply.

2.Don't make threads about how dumb it is that you've been denied. If you were denied this season, you always still have a chance for the future! If you make threads complaining about your denial, you'll have a really slim chance of being accepted in future seasons.

I know i'm not really in a position to be giving advice since i'm just a player too and I know alot of you won't listen to me or take my advice on board, I see this at all staff application seasons though and i'm sure people would want to avoid making this mistake if possible.

If you have applied this season I honestly wish you the best of luck and I hope you got some use out of this thread.

imo this is kinda common sense, and I’m pretty sure in the applying prerequisites thread it says to keep active. why do I even like talk like this am I dumb lol

Exactly, if people are passionate about the server i'd encourage them too but they're gunna have to do a lot more work than just "help Skeppy with his videos"

It is litterally just common sense, it's mad how many people don't think about tho.

Good advice, only thing I would add is to stay active in the chat and help out players even before you have a staff rank, as it shows the staff that you are able to help players out even if you don't have a staff rank.

Yeah that's what i'm saying man, you have to stay active throughout the whole season even if you were denied if you want to give a good impression for next season

I think that due to the fact that a lot of people only aim to meet skeppy and not to moderate that the aplicacions are getting harder to pass. Also, there isn't a lot of feedback of why your application is denied, something understandable since there are a lot of people applying, but that would help the players understand where they can improve.

Yeah. that's for sure.
When there's a huge youtuber owning the server ofc there are going to be kids only wanted attention from him. Since he hit prob 500k applications have gotten slimmed down. Before, he wasn't so big, and it wasn't that much of an issue. But now that "they're everywhere" applicants have to try a lot harder to pass through. I definitely agree with this. I think that it's not an issue, but just the sheer amount of people makes it hard to come out on top.

They give you a little blurb about why you were denied. If you really want to know what you did wrong, or the specifics, just start a conversation or PM the person who responded to your application. When I was denied last season, I did this and they told me exactly what the reason for my denial was.

That's really good advice for people who were denied as it shows your caring about your denial and can improve based on the feedback they give you
